Hey ladies just wanted to come by and see how the other October mommies are doing. All is well here, baby is so active I mean gosh. It is always moving which is so fun. chloe_a~~ how are you? I am due on the 27th of October also. We will be going in for our gender sacn on the 8th of June. I had actually made an apt with a ultrasound imaging place in Arlington just for a gender scan for next friday. They had me fax a prenatal care consent (to make sure that I am seeing a doctor) to my OB. I called and the doc actually said that the 3d & 4d sonos were not good for the baby because they use something that has heat or something and thats not good for the baby. So that cancels that. I guess I have no choice but to wait until the 8th of June. Jaqi~~ hey how are you? how are things with the twins? I hope that all is well. You dont have long to go before you find out what they are do you. Thats good at least you can start to shopp. Something that I can not wait to do. Well let us know when you do find out.

Hey all, have my 18-20 week u/s booked for June 8th, so hopefully the baby will be healthy and we can find out the gender. I'm still worried about not showing very much - I've only gained 2 lbs my whole pregnancy. Apparently I'm measuring fine, though. I think I'm feeling movement and then someone will say "well it's a bit early for that" and so I'll question myself. lol I feel crazy. Congrats melay on the baby boy! I will let you know about the weight in a few weeks. Congrats wunder! I am really hoping for a boy (I'm the oldest of 5 kids and always wanted an older brother). James is a wonderful name. Good luck on the next ultrasound. MNMOM - I'm not really sure what a quad screen is (is that the IPS testing?), but I'm sure everything will be fine. lol Chloe. A friend of mine was jealous that I am pregnant over the summer saying that I don't have to worry about losing weight for my bathing suit since everyone expects me to be big! Both you and munchmom are due on my husbands birthday. I'm due Oct 30th and he's hoping I go early. I'm glad everyone appears to be doing well. :)

Hi all - My 18 week scan last week showed a baby girl. Hopefully they r right. Still want to wait for the next one at 28 weeks to do up the nursery and purchase things, but am afraid may not have much energy by then. We'll see. It's so hard to predict how I will feel as time goes. It was amazing to see the baby move.. Hope everyone is keeping well...

Hello ladies, I was part way back in the first tri room...lol I've read the posts in here and wow!! Everyone seems to be doing great! I go for my next ultrasound on May 36th, I will be 19 weeks, so I am hoping to be able to find out the gender. I have two boys right now and would love a little girl, but a boy would be just as welcome! :) My 5 year old was not happy at all when we told him about the new baby, but he is starting to get used to the idea of a baby now. He remembers his brother Blake crying all the time he says..lol which he did, Blake was very colicky, so I think we are both hoping that this one is not wuite as bad as Blake was..lol well, I'm so glad to see everyone seems to be doing well and look forward to reading more about everyones adventures that we all seem to be going through!!

Hi 3rdtimemommy! When are you due? Sounds like we are very similar! I am due 10/28 with baby #3. I also have 2 boys- my oldest will be 6 next month and my youngest will be 2 next month. We would kinda like a girl this time around but are not going to find out at the ultrasound. We will wait and be surprised either way!

Hey guys...sorry I have been MIA for a bit. I can only log on here at work because for whatever reason, I can't log on at home. Something is blocked and I cannot figure it out for the life of me! Munchmom - that is the first I have heard about the heat with 3D/4D. I think my dr's office does them but not sure. I will be asking this Thrs at sono. They have pics on the wall of them, so I am not sure if they do them or refer. My friend in going to one in Arlington but she never got back to me on the address. I think her ADD is worse than mine...hahaha. I hope to find out what they are this Thrs. My luck, they will be in the wrong positions..hehe. I wish I would have made the appt for today! So far, I am doing well. I went in and heard the HBs last Monday, so that made me feel better. The dr does not recommend the fetal doppler, so they told me I can come in when I feel worried. I want to go in every day! I am just worried because it took us a lot to get to this point and don't want to loose them. I will start shopping at 24wks (medical superst_tion). I cannot wait, though! I am ready to get everything set up for them! My mom and aunt are planning my baby shower for the end of July, since dr said I should still be comfortable then and it would be a good time. I am counting down to DH's b-day because if it goes as planned, that is when the c-sec will be!

I love to read about what is going on with everyone else. I have an ultrasound tomorrow at 5:30pm...I feel so nervous already. I try not to feel nervous until at least the day of, but I think I am more anxious than anything. I pray for a healthy baby first and fore most...but at the same time I hope the baby is in the right position to be able to tell the s_x. That part excites me so much. As I type this the little one won't settle down in there hahaha! If we are able to tell the s_x tomorrow, I am going to come right here and let you all know what I know! I look forward to it!

Hey guys; sorry that I'm not good at coming on here... My dd is 12 months and I just got back to work (to have enough time acc_mulated for unemployment insurance!!) so it's a little crazy. But it's a holiday here today so I'm trying to catch up. We found out on Friday that we are having a boy this time!!! I am so surprised and happy! The h/b thing was completely off for us :-) Just an old wives tale! We are excited! Everything is good; the only thing they'll watch for is that the placenta is lying low. It's not placenta previa, it's just lower than it should be. I read that in 95% of the cases, it goes up as the uterus stretches. We'll probably end up having at least another ultrasound. Jaqi: I was also ttc for a long time for dd ( took us 4 years) and got pregnant through Clomid+IUI. I'm glad it worked for you too! I'm reading everyone else too, so please guys, ton't be strangers! Dicegirl: hope everything goes well at the u/s!

MNMOM - May 19

Hi Girls - well my a__sistant at work just informed me in front of our whole team, that I must be having a girl this time because I am ugly now that I am pregnant. Nice. I don't know whether to be fuming mad at her distaste or go cry. This day sucks.

munchmom04 - May 19

Jaqi ~~ you know i was wondering if he was just saying that because they want me to wait and let them tell me. I dont see what the problem is, I mean if it was so harmfull to the baby then they would not allow anyone to do them right?!? Oh well I called the Ultraview Imaging office in Arlington ( where i will be going for the gender sono) and told her what the doc told me and asked if there was anything else that I could do, to get the gender sono done. She told me to bring at least 2 past sono pictures if I had them and a appointment card or reminder card from the docs office. I guess just to make sure that I am being seen by an OB. So ladies I will know on FRIDAY!!!!!!! Yeah, i am so excited I can not wait. I will be going alone though. DH has to drive out of town on friday (hes a truck driver, drive locally, but has to go to Tyler, & Longview on firday) Sucks but oh well. He and my mom told me that I should wait until the 8th of June, instead of paying to know so soon. They dont really understand I guess.

munchmom04 - May 19

Hey ladies I have a question......... how late in your pregnancy can you change docs? I mean my doc was very attentive to me before when i had my son which was almost 5 year ago, but this time its like he dont want to be bothered. I had been feeling the baby move and last week i did not feel anything for 2 days in a row. I called the office and the nurse was like well you should not be feeling anything anyway. she was like most women do not feel anything until they are 20 weeks. Keep in mind this is my second and i know what it feels like. she was like ok hold on let me ask the doc what he wants to do. she came back to the phone and was like he said that he can squeeze you in at 4pm. but if you are not here then you will just have to go to the OB triage and let them know. UMMMMMMMMM I was in Tyler at the time and I had to hurry back to get seen. We (hubby, son, & I) get to the office 10 mins early and we still have to wait for a hour. Then she took my vitals, and got a urine sample. Put me in a room and told me that the doc would be in shortly. I guess her shortly actually means 30 mins. He came in and put the doppler on my belly and said do you hear that? No we did not hear anything..... I said no and he was like ok well i heard the heartbeat and it sounds fine. He did not bother to move it or try it agian so that I could at least here it, or even tell me how fast it was. I was so PISSED OFF!! he was like ok when was your next scheduled appointment? I told him June 8th, he said good well i will see you then, and you might get a big ultrasound then. MIGHT i am scheduled for one. I dont understand I know that he has other patients, but d__n when you are in with a patient be there with that patient. He didnt ask if i had any questions or anything at all. Its like he was rushing me to get out like I was getting on his nerves. I dont know what to do. I am on medicaid and i dont know if i can change docs so late. I am not happy with him, he did not even ask if i wanted to try VBAC since my son was breech he said that I have to have a repeat c-section. Im depressed and dont know what to do. I think that is why I am so excited to go in FIRDAY to the other clinic to get the sono done. so i can at least see and hear that my baby is doing ok. Hey does anyone think that it is too soon to know the s_x? I will be 17 weeks and 3 days? I am so sorry to vent to you ladies, I just dont know what to do. Thanks for listening.

kerryv - May 19

hello! I am 19 weeks (this thursday) pregnant with my second! I have a 26 month old son. Have poked through some of the posts but thought I would just jump in and post myself:) anyone else around my point with baby #2 not feeling the baby consistently? I feel him/her often but not consistently yet and it makes me worry. I have had good pregnancies, thus far, but I certainly dont miss nor enjoy the every day worry of all the what ifs and is everything ok, etc. I have my 20 wk u/s on May 27, next wednesday! I hope after that I will relax some!

Dicegirl15 - May 19

Hi everyone! DH and I just got home not too long ago from our u/s. Everything went fine, there seems that there was nothing to worry about in the first place. Although the technician can't say much of anything...things look great. He explained parts to us and I left feeling great. We are having a BOY!!!!! It was so amazing. We saw him have the hiccups and watched his little tongue moving. He also waved and was moving a ton!!! We saw everything, it was so wonderful!! I hope all is also well with everyone else. I am sooooo excited!!

CgGirl - May 20

Hey Dicegirl! Congrats! I'm glad for you that everything is fine! I'm having a boy too! I just like the u/s so much! Kerryv: welcome! I think at 19 weeks it's normal not too feel the baby move consistenly. They are still really small. Consistent movements start later, like 21-22 weeks. Or so it was with my first (12 months now!). Munchmom: poor you: I think you can change dr for sure. Try to find another one and ask them, if they say yes, why not??? This is too important to just forget about it... Let us know what happens!

Jaqi - May 20

Munchmom - Hey girl, I don't see why you can't unless your insurance prohibits it. That really sucks when doctors do that c___p. I hate it!! I always switch when I get treated like that. I don't expect the royal treatment but d__n, this is a stressful time, so help us feel a little bit better, ya know? My doc is wonderful! The RN is great too....they are so awesome and answer every question no matter how many I have! Call and see if you can get in with Dr. Laura Bradford (817-926-4118). She is not far from JPS (Ft. Worth) and does deliveries at Harris d-town and Baylor d-town. I love seeing them. I have never been happier. She is an OB/Gyno. Right now she is only taking patients that are pregnant, so hopefully you can get in!! If not, there are other doctors in that office that are good too (Dr. Cynthia Robbins and Dr. Jacquin Matthews are other good ones I have heard about). I know I have worn them out with worries and calling for every little thing I think is wrong; they never not answer me and always make me feel better! Let me know if what you find out! The only thing I will say can be a pain is the waiting room sometimes. That office is packed! The best times to get in are first thing in the morning if you can. Otherwise, I have waited never waited longer than 30min. I usually get there 15min earlier than my appt time (I live like 10min south of there) and I always seem to get in a bit quicker. Let me know what you find out!
