Great news JMP!! Congrats on all of the terrific results! Sounds like you have a lot going on with school and working, it must be like an emotinal roller coaster! It's great that your BF is so supportive. Bumblebee, I am 17 weeks and 2 days today. On Monday, mine was doing gymnastics almost ALL day, yesterday I did not feel her move once the whole day. It can be scary, I was getting worried, but today at lunch she started moving again. Of course on Monday, I had worried she was moving too much and maybe something was wrong...you can't win, lol! As far as hungry, I am with JMP, I am pretty much hungry all of the time. I will be eating and actually feel more hungry the more I eat...!

CDNBRD- I'm 17 weeks and 2 days today also..wow that's pretty funny!! When is your due date? Mine is Sept. 28..Thank you for all the warm wishes! I'm constantly hungry, and so busy all the time that I really haven't noticed anything wish I could feel the baby move like you!! I'm jealous!! I probably do feel the baby I just don't notice, the only thing I notice are these gigantic b___bs!! hehe. How's everyone else?

Greetings ladies, In two more days I will be 20weeks!!! Half way there cannot believe it. Not sure if I mentioned but ultrasound tech told me I have a low lying placenta..hoping that resolves itself. Feeling pretty good..my sciatica has gotten better (atleast for now) Other than that just expanding and feeling the movement. How is everyone else doing??

tryingx3 - April 27

I'll be 20 wks on Friday. Hard to believe how close we are getting! I am feeling her now - not consistently but definitely feel some cartwheels going on from time to time. Well - we did it!! We took our 2.5 year old daughter to Disney last week. What a week! I had to have a melt down the 1st day to remind my husband that I am pregnant and she was just 2. Then he remembered we agreed to a nap in the middle of the day for both of us! :-) Once we got that settled, the week went better! Ha ha He wanted to take everything at a RUN! Then, of course, there was my pressing need to hit every bathroom we pa__sed. I have a level 2 ultrasound scheduled for May 4. I had low lying placenta with my dd - it resolved on its own. I also wore the maternity belt after I found out. They suggested no intercourse, no jogging or heavy lifting - just in case. I'll be curious to see how my placenta is doing at my next u/s.

Bumblebee - April 28

Hi all - Am now 17 weeks and have my 18 week u/s next week. Can't wait - esp to find out s_x of baby!! So constipated today and just feel yucky. It's funny to still feel hungry, but not easy to eat anything. Had couple prunes and lots water, hope it'll help.

Cdnbrd - April 29

Hi! Hope everyone is doing great!! Went for a ride in a sports car on Sunday and felt my first real kick - it was so cool, like someone gently tapping me from the inside! I yelled at my husband and told him to slow down, she didn't like the car ride, but he thinks it means that she did, lol. Haven't felt much movement since, hope she is just resting. I get paranoid, but I have my dr. appt tomorrow so I will get to hear her heartbeat again which, is always rea__suring. I can't wait until I am further along and the kicks come regular. JMP, my due date is September 26 - and I too am enjoying the visit from the b___b fairy! Bumblebee, I hear you about the constipation, prunes are a great idea, so is fiber like beans. Of course you will have a sudden increase in gas too... like I am sure you don't have enough already! Kristin, glad to hear all is good with you; I had asked you about the doppler in a previous post, let me know when you have a chance. tryingx3 - OMG, can't believe you made it through Disney! I don't think I would have made it through the parking lot...! Hope everything is good at your u/s. All the best to everyone!

tryingx3 - April 29

Thank you Cdnbrd - when we got too the parking lot, it all came back to me - how difficult this trip was going to be! I had forgotten about all the shifting just to get into Magic Kingdom - my first trip was when I was still glowing from newlywed bliss. :-) I had to start on Senokot for constipation. I had made this far, but had to do something - especially with the traveling. I am not drinking as much as I should either. I did great with that during the pg (although it didn't seem to help with constipation)...but this time I don't want JUST water... Kristin - here's hoping you are okay!

JMP - April 29

Hey guys! Less then 9 days til my level 2 sonogram!! I just can't wait to see him/her again!! Since we are getting closer to finding out the s_x we've picked out some names..nothing definite but some ideas..for girls I really love the name Isabelle BUT we have a dog named Bella lol and BF is worried that we're going to mistake the dog and the baby lol he loves norm names like Lauren, don't get me wrong I love that name too but I tend to go for the names that aren't so common (my name is Justina)If it's a boy it's going to be Kevin (after the daddy!) He's a junior and I'm totally into the junior and naming the baby after the dad. I'm still waiting for this pregnancy "glow" lol I just feel so in the middle nothing has really changed except my bra size and my belly!! SO it'll be interesting to see if this is a boy or girl! I'm hoping for a boy but would love my BF to have a Daddys little princess! (like I was, I have 3 brothers and I'm the only girl!)I'm also pretty sure I'm feeling the baby now-nothing regular but I'm pretty sure I've gotten a good jab! lol trying-is senokot okay to take during pregnancy? because I've had the worst constipation through out this entire pregnancy! I mean days, I'd go days I was up to 3 today that I can't go to the bathroom! lol TMI I know sorry! I saw my OB last week and failed to ask her a few things because well I think she was in a bad mood lol or at least did not want to be bothered that day..ANYWAYS hope everyone is doing WELL!! xo

flroses1120 - April 29

Thought I'd jump in and say hi to everybody. I'm feeling the constipation thing, too, LOL. Seems like the common thread for us all! I was just complaining to my mom that since I've given up my morning coffee, I just never know when I'll go. TMI from me, too! tryingx3 - you are my HERO for making it through Disney! Although we have had some beautiful weather the last couple weeks (I live on the east coast near Orlando) -- but I think the crowds and all-day on my feet would do me in. Last weekend, we bought the nursery furniture, bedding, decorations, etc. It was so exciting and made everything seem more real. We have to wait 8 weeks for the furniture to come in, but we have the curtains up, at least. This is our first and oh how I'm so jealous of you girls who are feeling the baby. I'll be 20 weeks on Friday and I haven't felt anything yet. I do have some extra "cushioning" in the belly department, and I did ask the perinatalogist about it when I had my level 2, he said maybe by week 21-22 for me. UGH I don't want to wait anymore to feel her. Also, he said my placenta was "anterior" and that's normal, but the baby would be like kicking through a pillow. I did feel some "gas-type" bubbles last night.. but it was WAY on my side, so it probably was just gas. :-) Hope everybody has a great day!

JMP - May 5

HI ladies I know a couple of you had your ultra sounds recently any updates?! lol I'm just so excited mine is on Friday!

tryingx3 - May 6

Hello! level 2 was on Monday - everything looked GREAT. She was opening and closing her mouth for us...really cute. No idea on a name yet. Yes, stool softeners on the "safe list". I would see if you practice has a list of medications that are considered safe. Mine gave me a sheet - those that are safe all the way through and those that are safe after 12 weeks, etc... 1 cup of coffee in the morning would be okay too - I've heard of pg moms having to do that to go...just no more caffeine after that! p.s. I hate when you post a comment, then realize you haven't logged in yet!

JMP - May 6

trying-that sounds so wonderful! good for you my level 2 is on friday and I just can't wait I'm going nuts! I have a question and wanted to see what you guys thought..I usually drink a can of soda like a day and that's about it for the caffeine..EXCEPT today I was in cla__s and realized I didn't have any gum to chew on (chewing is something I have to do since I don't smoke anymore lol) and I went to the vending machine and didn't see any gum so I got the green mints and I ate about 8 of them through out the day..by the end of the day I was playing with the mints and realized they read "energy" on them and I was like oh that's weird, so I turn the mints over and these mints are caffeinated!! 60mg per mint, and I had to have eaten 8!! and I'm just so upset I'm totally freaking out =/ I'm so nervous..any thoughts?!

Cdnbrd - May 7

Hi all! Hope everyone is doing great! This little girl is moving WAY more than my boys ever did...but I am enjoying every poke. I can't wait to see her again at my u/s, it is scheduled for next Thursday. JMP, don't worry about the mints! It was just one day, if you had been eating them throughout your pregnancy it would be different. All the studies that talk about the risks of caffeine are based on women that consume a lot of caffeine on a daily basis, not just one day. I have one cup of instant coffee each morning which my dr. says it fine. Did the same with both my boys and they turned out okay and both slept through the night at 3 to six days old (hope this one does too!). Don't worry about it; concentrate on being excited thinking about your u/s tomorrow and finding out the s_x! Tryingx3 - opening and closing her mouth...how cute! My mom (who only had one child, and they didn't have u/s back then) asked me to see if she has curly hair during mine next Thursday, lol. I think I'll photoshop a curly wig on one of the pictures and send it to her. Wishing everyone the best - looking forward to your updates!

tryingx3 - May 7

JMP - don't worry about the mints...like Cdn said, it was just one time. I don't remember how far along I was, but we could see hair on one of my u/s. We laughed because the tech said, oh my, she has "locks" of hair..and indeed she did - at least for a newborn. When she arrived her hair was well over l inch long and stood up in every direction. I hope this one has "locks" too!

Hi everybody, I had a second level 2 ultrasound today. I had my first one at "just" 18 weeks, and he wanted me back in a few weeks to measure everything again. Everything at 18 weeks look normal and good. But, hh ladies, I got some bad news today. Not devastating, mind you, but it is so hard to soke in. Basically, he thinks that the feet will be mildly club -- the are turning in slightly at the ankles. From everything i'm reading, this can be common and VERY treatable. The pictures i'm seeing on the darn internet, though, are very scary. Just the word "birth defect" is so scary. My husband is being extremely great. He says that in the grand scheme of things, this is just going to be a minor inconvenience to us. Anyway, the dr. also said that what he saw could be the feet pressing up on the uterus, but that he didn't think so. I'm to go back in 4 weeks again to get a comparison. Sorry to be the "debby downer" of the day... but I just wanted to share.... ~Kathy
