You need to call the on-call OB and ask before you take it. I don't know the answer to your question. I know Tylenol is safe, but not sure about the codeine.

my mid-wife prescribed Tylenol 3 for me for migraines. I only take iot when I absolutely need it, but she said it was safe to take as long as I took it sporadically..

This is my 4th pregnancy and I have taken codeine on 2 previous pregnancies as well as this one. My doctor showed me it's a safe medication for pregnancy in his medication book. But, as stated above check with your OB to be sure.

I just got out of the hospital. I'm 14w. My fibroids are causing me terrible pain. I have a perscription for tylenol 3 given to me by my OB. He thinks I might have to take them through the rest of the pregnancy. He said the baby would be woosy like I would be. He thinks this is safer than the pain. The main problem is that prolonged use of codiene causes constipation, so he also gave me a perscription for stool softeners. So far regular strength tylenol is helping. I'm still slightly scared to try the T3s. I would say if you are worried, just give a quick call to your OB. I could be in a special situation. Has anyone else had prolonged use of T3s during pregnancy and the baby is ok?
