I am 14 weeks pregnant. I have extremely sick with flu, sinus problems, UTI and the dr says there is not medication she can give me except something for the UTI. My ears are also hurting because of the fluid build up, anyone else like this or anyone know what kind of medication i can take. Ive been sick almost 2 weeks.

I also was very sick a few weeks ago, I never felt so aweful, and it was worse, because there is nothing you can do about it. I just drank lots of water and tried to get lots of sleep. Hope you feel better soon,

When I was sick with the flu, I had a fever with an infection and a severe cough. I was given an antibiotic, told I could take tylenol and robitussin cough meds. You can not let an infection with fever linger (dangerous for baby), you must take meds. Not sure why your doctor has made you suffer. I would talk to them again or get a second opinion!!!

I've been really sick, I have influenza on my first month of pregnancy. I have a bad cough, sore throat fever and flue. The doctor told me to get tylenol three times a day and rubitussin every four hours as needed. I've been taking Tylenol since five days now and I'm starting to get better.

i'd get a second opinion too. there are plenty of medications you can take that have little to no risk of harming your baby.
