I peed on 2 sticks, and they both came out faintly positive. I went to a doctor, and took a urine test. They said they ddin't know. I took a blood test, and got the results today. They said my level was a number 5. I am a week late for my period, and feels as if I;m about to start. I did have some very light bleeding occur today; in whicj usually takes place before my period. However; I was instructed to go back for more blood tests. Could I be pregnant?

Yes, you could be pregnant and might just be testing too early, especially if you ovulated later in your cycle. HGC is supposed to double every 2-3 days in early pregnancy so waiting a few more days before retesting should give you more conclusive results.
