Okay, I took a home pregnancy test and it showed positive so now I am going to make a doctors appointment to find out for sure. I was just wondering how they test you for pregnancy and how long it takes before they know whether or not you are really pregnant. If it turns out I am pregnant for sure what happens next? Cira, those home pregnancy tests often show false negatives, but rarely do they show false positive. The doctor may give you a blood pregnancy test, which is more accurate.
