Not everything has to make perfect sense. My dr. doesn't even think it makes sense but it is the way it is and i doubt it will ever change .

Emma and Lin are both right. If you want to know how far along you are you start counting from the first day of your LMP. All DR's do this b/c not everyone knows the day they conceived but most women know the first day of their last period. So technically, when you actually conceive the baby, you are already 2 weeks pregnant. It may not make much sense, but it is just how they do things!

Hello, so I've been dying to ask someone if they can help me. I've entered in a lot of website but I haven't ask no one yet about my situation. So my last period was on the 15th of March, 2013 I had my normal period and everything. Then, the next period that I was supposed to have was on the 12th of April, 2013. I am still waiting for it. I had an annual appointment with my OBGYN on the 12th of April and I told her about it and she told me just to wait because it was too soon and it could maybe had been my period skipping one day and that I would have it for the nest day. I am 14 days(2 weeks) late now and I have taken 3 hpt and they have all been negative. I have no idea what to think anymore. The day before I went to the doctors appointment I threw up and were dizzy and nauseas all day. Now I have had for more than 2 weeks swore b___st I can see my veins, I have to wake up more than 2 times at night to go pee and not even counting the one in the morning, I have weird craving, fever, lower back pains. Honestly I want to know if someone can tell me something. I have a doctors appointment on the 3th of May, and honestly I am desperate to know already. If someone can help me or tell me if this has happen to them too please reply to this posted I will appreciate it. ;D

Your hormones are in an uproar for sure. Did you have s_xual exposure the last week of March? My suggestion is you take another test Saturday morning first am pee. If it is negative you should probably get checked for reasons other than pregnancy.
