7 Week Ultrasound Yielded No Heartbeat

Is this common? the sack, yolk and pull were found, but not the heartbeat. How rare is this?

I haven't been pregnant before, so I have no idea, but didn't they tell you if it was normal or not??? Hope all is well :)
