Cramps And Pregnancy

I am 5 days late and hope to be pregnant. It is such a let down to take the test and have it be negative. Is it possible to have menstrual cramps and be pregnant?

YES......women cramp a lot in early pregnancy. It is the uterus streching and is perfectly normal as long as the cramps are mild and there is no bleeding. Good Luck!

Take the test. I know it's hard when it's negative, but not knowing is stressful. I had cramps early on in my second pregnancy, as well as spotting. My daughter is 12 now. Go for it! Good luck!

It sounds like good news :). If you do get a negative result, certainly repeat the test later on as well.

I had mentsrual cramps threw out my whole pregnancy. They were in my lower stomach area. It felt as if I was about to come on my period. The docyor told me that it was no concern and that it was just my uterus stretching for the babies growth. But, to be sure you should take a pregnancy test. Good luck and keep me posted!

Yes... I had no cramping until my period was about 9 days late. It felt like normal before period cramps, took an advil because I was sure I'd wake up with my period. Next day I went to the doctor and found out I was 3 weeks pregnant.
