That's 2 and a half months so no bleeding what so ever. I took a few tests back when I was 8 days late, then again at 15 days late, and one more at 1 month late. Haven't taken any since then, cause I've exhausted my pee-stick resources. I don't really feel any symptoms. I have a docs visit tomorrow, though...so we'll see what she says. Comment please.

you could have a thyroid problem.....a common side effect of a underactive thyroid is lack of period.

Interesting. Thyroid problems run in my family. But if it is underactive, I would probably be a little overweight right? I'm a very thin girl. i've been the same size since I was 13, and I am now 24. So I'm not sure. But I will mention it to my doctor tomorrow. Thanks for your insight.

anamariaflorencia; I didn't get a period for a long time and when I finally went to the dr sure enough it was my thyroid! I had no change in weight and there is no family history. Just crept up out of no where, well in my opinion it had to do with taking bc pills for so long, anyways, now I am on meds and everything is normal. Let us know what happens, and try not to worry too much!!

Ana, some members in my family are very obese and have hyperthyroidism (over active) and some in my family are very thin and have hypothyroidism (under active) and there are obese and skinny people in my family that have no problem what-so-ever, so its all hear say... anyone can have anything.

Thanks Krissy. I thought my appt was today, but it's actually tomorrow. But it looks like I started my period, so I'm not even sure if the Dr. will still see me. I'm hoping it's not my period and just a little bit of implantation bleeding. Since I didn't have my period for so long, I'm not sure when I ovulated last...and my dh and I have been pretty active, so it could be possible that I am pregnant. I'll keep posted about whether it's a period or just spotting. I'll also write about my doc's appt. Thanks to you three who has commented, everything is easier when you have someone to talk to about it.

hey ana, my last cycle went 70 days with no AF and I had to go to the Dr. to get meds to force my body to menstruate. I didn't have any thyroid problems and wasn't dxed with PCOS or any other cysts. It even went so far as to having 2 ultrasounds done -- after having them done, I started within 2 days. I found out I had a huge clot in my tube which backed everything up -- I warn you, going 70+ days caused me to have one seriously painful period!

Oh no. Now I'm very scared. I already have painful periods as it is. :( So, did the medicine unclog it for you? Wow...why did the clog happen, do you know?

the medicine worked about 4 days AFTER I completed the 10-day dose. I get blood clots every month with AF and have ALWAYS pa__sed them just fine but this past one just never came. The Dr. didn't know how or why the clot remained where it did but the blood was very evident on the u/s. Don't be too afraid about the painful period if you already experience them. I hurt like crazy every month but that one month took the cake, and I think it was just cause the clot I pa__sed was about the size of a walnut and that hurt terribly. Most likely, it could be a cyst for you, those are VERY common in women. But I would definitely get to the doctor and ask her if being put on Medroxy Pr would help you start in your situation. I had a blood test first to rule out pregnancy so that should be the 1st step! Good luck!~

Hey, so I just came back from the dr. She suggested I might have PCOS. But I don't know that I agree. She didn't do anything to check to see if I have pcos. Just a__sumed that since I have irregular periods and I have acne and I'm naturally hair, I might have it. Only thing is, I'm not overweight. Like I mentioned in a post a few days ago...I've been the same size since I was 13...123 pounds, size 4-6. I'm 5'7". So, I don't know. What do you ladies think? Anyhow, it looks like my period has started now...after 80 days. But she still ordered a pregnancy blood test, just incase it's implantation. But I highly doubt that, especially since she told me she thinks it will be very difficult for me to conceive without fertility treatments.

I dont know if I believe your OBGYN either. Have you thought about getting a 2nd opinion? I have read that PCOS is common for overweight women but since you are at a normal weight, I'm not sure! I'm glad to hear you started your cycle too.

Ana Maria, I've had the exact same scenario in the past. I'm fairly irregular and if I do have an average-length cycle it's around 40 days. If you're normally irregular this looong cycle is probably nothing to worry about. I've talked with my ObGyn and she said it's quite normal, (though annoying). I'll have several months with fairly regular cycles and then go for three + months with nothing. I've been tested several times for thyroid problems and I'm fine. It's really so annoying though when ttc - an unpredictable rollercoaster for sure! Good luck.

hi ladies! my last period was Oct 28 16. today I actually hit my 80 days since iv had it. I took 2 pregnancy test late November, early December. one was a faint line and the other one was just one line. I started to develope stomach pains & was nauseous at different times of the day. I would get so nauseous that I would have to stop what I'm doing and take a second. i went to 2 different UC and they both diagnosed me with gastritis. I recently just went to the er because I was vomiting, couldn't keep anything down and the pain was spuratically but hurt so bad. while there, they did a cat scan of my stomach, ultra sound of only the top part and urine test. and of course, no answers. so I was sent home the next morning. every single test I have done has come back negative. I have had absolutely no bleeding, I'm obviously nauseous all the time, I don't eat as much as I used too, I cry all the time, I'm so moody, my nippples just recently started to get tender, I'm having really bad cramps, white discharge, I don't get headaches anymore & my back doesn't hurt as much anymore. I have already been checked for thyroid and it came back negative as well. can anyone help me? I'm so frustrated.

Jona, please go back to talk about your symptoms with the preface "I know I'm not pregnant." Something is obviously out of kilter and they need to figure it out. If it's not thyroid have they looked for an ovarian cyst?
