They did a fetal doppler on me and said we heard a heartbeat, but she grab my arm and started testing my pulse and said it was my heartbeat. It was found in my lower left abdomen. I told my friends and family and they said my heartbeat would not have been that low. My friend said you cannot hear your heartbeat in your stomach only on the points that have a pulse like your groin area, your arms, your chest but not your stomach.

Well with my fetal doppler I can hear my heartbeat in my stomach. They even tell you in the papers that are enclosed with the fetal doppler that you may hear your heartbeat and in order to tell your heartbeat from your baby's is that your baby's beats much faster than yours. I actually found a sound that sounded just like the "Fetal Movement Sounds With Maternal Blood Flow" except it was a bit faster, very strong and the sound moved around, it didnt stay there like my heartbeat would, it got really loud then the sound would decrease and almost go away and then come back (and I'm not moving the doppler, its in the same exact spot the whole time. But once again no one in my house believes me. Doesnt matter. AF was supposed to come today, so far no show...been cramping on and off all day like AF was coming but nothing so far

I have notice that line when I was not pregnant, so it not a pregnancy sign for me. I do have it going from my belly b___ton up towards my ribs or b___sts now. I am not really sure if that is a sign either it has not gotten really dark. My concern right now is my stomach. It is so hard. If my stomach was just big and I could say I gained a little weight. Not only that but it is lopsided. It is much bigger on the left. As far as the heartbeat she did not check anywhere else on my stomach for another heartbeat just that one place. I would think if she said that was my heartbeat than she would check some where else to show me that there was not another heartbeat. The heartbeat was faster, but she had such a bad att_tude she did not give me any rates. She just checked my pulse and said that is your heartbeat.

Well, I started bleeding today...but its so light I only need pantyliners. See if it picks up tomorrow. I really wish now that I could stop feeling like I'm pregnant when everything else says I'm not. I want to be pregnant, dont get me wrong, I dont however want to be making myself pregnant when I'm not.

My last post was actually the 23rd, I didnt know it was that late! Well anyway I went to the ER early this morning b/c I was having severe abdominal pain (for real) and after the pelvic examination the doc says he believes I have an ovarian cyst on my right side and he told me to schedule an u/s on Monday. Will write back after the u/s

Zakiyyah, I know that it was long ago but I am going thru the same thing and I was just wondering if you ended up pregnant or not. My line started at my pelvic and worked its way up over time now the line above my belly has appeared and is getting darker but my test keep coming back negative and my ultra sound shows nothing but it keeps growing and getting darker and thicker please help i am going crazy

BS, with your negative tests and ultrasound the rational conclusion is that something other than pregnancy is causing your linea nigra. The ultrasound you had might not have shown a cyst unless they were looking for it.

Hi Zakiyah/Anne would really like to know what happened what was the outcome. Please respond if you read this. I know it's an old thread.
