I'll keep this as short as possible... :)
My husband and I decided to let nature take its course back in October, so I stopped taking my BC pills. I had been on them for about two years. Since then, I have not had a period and just missed my third one. I know by this fact alone that I should go to the doctor, and I plan to this week.
Anyway...about two weeks ago, I experienced what I thought was the start of my period (cramps, feeling anxious, etc), but only had a bit of spotting. Last week, I developed a cold (which I am basically at the end of), and recently began feeling sick to my stomach (no vomiting) with intermittent bouts of dizziness/feeling light-headed that last the entire day.
Am I just being overly observant of my symptoms, or might I actually be pregnant? Obviously, having a period to base my symptoms off of would help A LOT more, but I feel that I might be jumping to conclusions based on a wanting to get pregnant, and the fact that I haven't used birth control for about 3+ months. Apart from what I've already described, I haven't noticed any physical changes to my body (tender br___ts, etc) to be certain that I am pregnant.
Is there something else (possibly related to not having a period) that would cause these symptoms? To put it simply, I just feel different. Even my mom told me to take a test this weekend, which is probably what really caught my attention. If it helps, I am 22 years old, and I don't drink or smoke.
Hopefully I can get in to the doctor by Wednesday.
Thanks for any input or suggestions!

Oh, I forgot to add that I have had the feeling of food being stuck in my throat for about two weeks. Tums and Prilosec have made no difference. I've also been very ga__sy. As far as emotions go, I've been incredibly happy (not too different for me, since I'm always happy :P), and have had surges of happiness and excitement throughout the day. I have been a little more sleepy than usual, and have been sleeping 9+ hours a night.

Take a test next weekend. Ovulation comes before menstruation, so you can get pregnant without first having a period. GL!
