Whats With A Cervix During Pregnancy

I am 2 weeks late for a period That is always irregular (I am now on day 48 in my cycle, the last was 33 buy I have had up to 50 days between) I have no pregnancy symptoms but am still worrying. I have been checking my cervix and it doesn't seem to be consistent at all! High one day, low the next. Softer somedays than other. Most days I can fit the tip of my finger in the opening. And I mean like .5 cm worth of finger tip sorta thong. Does this mean it is open? If it's open could I even possibly be pregnant? I have read that your cervix is closed if you are pregnant but does that happen immediately? I would be 6 1/2 weeks pregnant if I actually WAS so should I be able to put any finger amount in? Also, where is your cervix positioned during pregnancy and when does it do so? I am just very much confused on all this..

The consensus is that cervix behaves like a yoyo in the first weeks and is not a good sign. Probably best to keep your finger outta thaere. If it is 6 1/2 weeks since s_x, and you have no early signs to talk about other than being late, chances are you are not pregnant. Take a test anyways, just to be sure. GL!
