Hi . Im 23 years of age Ive been married for 2 years now. My husband and I in the process of having a baby. Its been 8 month i stopped drinking the birth control pills. Since then everymonth we awaite to see if I am but nothing. Can someone please tell me how long does it take to get pregnent after you stop drinking the birth control pills. As well my last period was on the 25MAY04 and as of now I started to bleed on Tues but not normal blood its light red to light brown and i have lots of gas. Just last week i had headaches and i felt nauses, Please adv im very anxious im waintng for this week to be done and see if the bleeding get thicker. If it doesnt ill get a pregnancy test....

You're on the right track. It depends on how long you've been on the pill and how your body has reacted to it. My sister-in-law tried for 5 years after she stopped taking the pill. Everyone is different. Good luck!

Thank you Shelly im crossing my fingers and hoping that Iam. Now in regards to the light bleeding it stop but when I check it comes out very clear....Thanks

I would take a test in about a week. If you don't want to wait that long, go to your doctor for a blood test. Hope it's happy news!
