so i started seasonale 3 months ago. at the beginning of my 3rd week in my last pack, i was placed on a 5day dose of zithromax for tonsillitis & sinus infection. i have read that the 5day doses of zithromax are stronger & stay in your system longer than other antibiotics. i also have read that if taken the week before the placebo pills, you are possibly unprotected for up to 14 days because you are not taking the hormonal pills to build up your hormones again. anyway, i finally got what i assume is my period 4 days into my placebo week. the problem is, i have had "unprotected" s_x since the day after my last dose of the antibiotic & have continued to do so into my placebo pills. i also had "unprotected" s_x the first day of my period because it was so light it didnt even show during s_x. i wear a regular absorbency tampon all day & there is barely any blood there (tmi). it is light pink to light red & i could probably get away with a pantyliner but i am nervous if it is my period that it will get very heavy & messy so i wear a tampon. my question is - could this be my period or implantation bleeding due to the unprotected s_x & antibiotics? the time would match up for implantation bleeding. thanks for any help!
