Too Soon For Anything But Really Excited

I just have to share my happiness. Well nothing has happened yet but we are definately working on it. Soon it will be O day! This is too slow for me! I wish it could be O day now! Well not today because dh is very busy today. But perhaps tomorrow or saturday would be nice. Not that DH can complain. ;-) But this is definately too slow for me and thats even with a short period. Yes ladies it was definately a period. I know my body. I never have periods longer than four to seven days. Just depends. Wish I could share happiness with mother in law but she is totally against starting a family, just doesn´t want to be a grandma. So I have to keep my feelings to dh and I and a few trusted friends. Am avoiding alcohol and any other substances not prescribed by doc. Basically I am acting pregnant even if I have no idea whether I am yet or not. I just hope I don´t get my hopes up too soon. Thats really hard. We have high hopes on this month. Well I think we should have high hopes, I mean bedding every two to three days is definately reason to be excited. There is just one doubt I have, I heard a neighbor say that sperm last forty eight hours but I´ve read in good internet websites that sperm can last up to five days with the right conditions. What do you think? How long do sperm last in good conditions? Right cervical mucus etc.

As much as 5 days, and there is also the possibility that you could ovulate early. Don't get so excited that you set yourself up for a disappointing failure. About 3 months is how long the average young couple has to wait. GL!

Thanks GrandpaViv. By the way, you seem to be a man and a man with lots of years to his name, do you help others on this forum to do a good deed or do you have some personal interest in ttc? I know perhaps these are PERSONAL questions but my curiosity has got my tongue and I am very curious as to why what appears to be an older man would be on a pregnancy forum? Are you a doctor? Were you a doctor? Nurse? Some medical tech? Anyways, no matter what you are, you have good advice and i am sure that we all appreciate it! I truely am trying not to get excited. But this is my first cycle ttc and well, its a beautiful experience. Its quite a miracle. I mean, it will be a miracle when it does happen , that is. And baby dancing is cool. Its just, we have have waited so long to ttc. We bought the big house, the big car, well, its big by european standards. hehe I don´t think you´d say its big if you saw my car but we did buy it with the idea of starting a family. We started planning ttc eight years ago...I just hope our hopes are justified and that nothing happens. Nothing unexpected. As for ovulating early, I think we got that one covered. ;-) we started baby dancing right after my period. Yeah a little early but I know my mother got pregnant with me in a time when supposedly she was infertile. Don´t remember if it was right before period or just after period. Anyways, thanks for your advice!
