Getting Pregnant Solo At 18

I'm 18 years old right now and graduating high school in a little over a month. For about 4 years all I can think about is having a baby. There are plenty of nights that I can't get any sleep because I just can't stop thinking about it. I don't currently have a boyfriend and having a guy in the picture is not something that exactly thrills me. I know that I want to have a baby by the time I'm 21 at the latest. So what options are there for someone who is young and doesn't want a guy in the picture? I believe that I can financially support a baby, defiantly have enough love, and still go to school.
Just a side note... Over the last 2 years I have had 4 friends get pregnant in high school and have babies. I've talked to some of them about it and none of them think it's that bad. Their parents don't support them but they are still able to go to high school and reasonably easily support themselves and their babies. They only work about 20 hours a week and have no issues with regular expenses. They are all going to college in the fall and they all say that the sleep deprivation and stress is not as horrible as people make it out to be. Opinions?

Interesting question! Your high school friends may be playing down the burdens of child raising as a means of justifying their actions. Their parents must be supporting them big time - roof overhead, food, transportation, cell phone, clothes, babysitting. You describe a pretty obsessive focus on the subject. Is that something you should first talk through with a counselor and/or your family? You also seem to be addressing your needs, not those of the baby. The statistics support better outcomes for children born later. I doubt a clinic would give you sperm under the circ_mstances, and it would be an interesting project to find an anonymous donor on your own, though with some imagination it could be managed. Weird!
