Im living in Russia,he is in the UK.Im 15and a half wks preg.Cant fly cos of the threat of miscarriage. He is 40,im 24.Not married. He cant give up the job-cos we need money. But also dont seem to be too bothered about coming over-takes him over a week to send off for a visa to come over here.Makes me think that he isnt really bothered about coming over and all.Feel very lonely and depressed and let down.He says I dont apreciate him coming over-dont know what he means by that:should I kiss his ass everytime he is over?I think he is being very selfish and cant put me or our baby before himself and even try and understand what its like to be in a diff country on my own pregnant counting days before his arrival, while he is not even doing much to come over here.

Liza- it sounds like your boyfriend is either so wrapped up in his job that he can't take the extra time to see you, or he doesn't want to be involved with you or the child any more. Write him a nice letter saying that you are looking forward to seeing him and hope that he's willing to be a part of his child's life. Try to avoid writing anything negative, save that for when you see him. Best wishes!

thanks Audrey. My boyfriend (or should I say fiance, since we are engaged) is wrapped up in himself and his lifestyle as a loner and cant get used thinking about anyone else and considering their feelings.I tried saying it in good and bad form:it simply doesnt get me anywhere.I just get really upset and he hungs up on me when I tell him that judging by his actions it seems like he doesnt really want to come over and is doing me a favour by sorting out visa and etc.See, on the phone,or internet chat channels he tells me how much he misses me and etc,but actions show the oposite. Its very confussing.I would like to believe in what he says, but what he does doesnt match his words.Once again thanks for answering.

Flying does not cause mis carriage.

Liza - March 10

To JLK. It does unfortunatelly in a lot of cases. It causes change of blood pressure which leads to bleeding and then to miscarriage.I had bleeding on the plane, but was lucky not to miscarry. Most airlines make sign the paper that they take no responsibility for ur pregnancy while flying. And some dont take u on after certain period of time into pregnancy.Although, some women fly no problems. As well as that the most danger from flying is getting radioactive waves which slows down the development of the unborn.Things like that showld be known to any woman-its basics

JLK - March 10

I am a Pilot, flying does not cause mis carriage. Airlines request women not fly overseas (due to low oxygen in the cabin) and ask that you not fly in your 3rd trimester. And if you believe that the planes radar puts out enough radio frequency to harm a fetus, you need to go to college...or at least read a book...it's the basics.

I never said anything about radar radiation.I have two degrees and red a lot of books. But thanks for advice.I didnt come up with the threat of miscarrying from flying myself. Two diff doctors told me so and prohibited flying to me.Read this site http://hps.org/publicinformation/ate/faqs/pregnancyandflying.html.

to:JLK.Im sorry to embara__se u:(iii) Risk to the health of the foetus. With regard to pregnancy, although the risks to the unborn child from cosmic radiation are minimal when compared with other risks during pregnancy, radiation exposure should be kept to a level 'as low as reasonably achievable'. Individual pa__sengers will therefore need to make their own a__sessment of risk taking into account the likely exposure. This is from http://www.britishairways.com/travel/healthcosmic/public/en_gb. There is also info about effects on the crew, since as u say u r one of the crew u might want to educate urself a little.

JLK.Sorry, but I got really p__sed off with u getting smart with me, so here is another site to educate u.Its about pregnancies complications (which I have as doctors told me) and flying.:http://www.aviation-health.org/news/browse.php?action=shownews&category=&id=23&topicid=24384.
