My son has Aspergers... he is 4 and was diagnosed this summer. It is amazing what I have found out about Aspergers since I was given the diagnosis. My son's biggest "issues" is the aggression and anxiety. What are others doing for therapy? My son was turned down for insurance due to his Aspergers.. that is a bunch of BS if you ask me.

Hi, I'm interested in finding out what the traits of autism (Asperger's especially) are in an adult. My bf and I are expecting our first baby together in June/July and we found out recently that his 10 year old son from a previous relationship has Aspergers. I am quite worried for our unborn daughter to say the least. My bf seems fine now and is quite social but was diagnosed as ADD at some point as a child and does have a hard time expressing himself verbally. I always chalked it up to the fact he never graduated high school (later got his GED) but he also tells me some funky stuff he did as a child like pooping his pants until almost 5th grade ( his son does this too). I read that could be one of the traits of autistic children, but Jessie (my bf) swears it was just that he hated going to #2 as a kid and always tried to hold it too long. Who knows, but I also read that girls are less likely to be autistic than boys. I've done some reading, but not a lot. I'm just really scared as I know his son is quite the handful for his ex. We don't see it though for the most part because his son lives several states away and rarely visits for many reasons. He is supposed to come stay with us for a month right after the baby is born and I'm nervous for that too. Anyways, just wondering if those of you with husbands who have autism can share what the traits are/were for them? Thanks so much...
