who isn't believing who? i'm lost. anyway, the reason your dates are changing is they are going off of the size of the baby at the time. best thing for you to do is go by the first day of your last period and count 40 weeks from there and then stick with that date. my doc is doing the same thing to me because my baby is a clomid baby. i had the trigger shot 3 weeks after the first day of my period unlike women with normal cycles. they ovulate 2 weeks after the first day of their cycle and even though my baby is measuring 33w and i'm 33w1d they're saying she's 31w based on her size back at 6 weeks. totally confusing, so i go by the first day of my last period (february 11th) counted 40 weeks and my due date is november 17th and i'm sticking to that!

If I'm correct it is rare for a baby to be measuring on time the entire pregnancy. Everyone's due date changes every ultrasound they get. If it's within 2 weeks of your lmp due date, you're fine. My daughter was measuring 3 weeks behind and came out perfect... but I had to do NST and amnotic fluid tests twice a week to make sure she could keep growing. Personally I think I just had a small baby. It is perfectly normal for doctor to say your due date is a few days different. If you'd really like to, just pick a due date and stick with it.

they dont change your due date everytime you have a scan lol i,ve had 3 and it was only the 1st one they messured her 3days ahead but she,s been the same evertime im still due valentines day lol! but i supose it may change more for some and not atall for others

I've had my due date changed a few times, so don't worry. It's just what they do. Well not with this pregnancy, with my last. With this one it was only changed once. I wouldn't mind them making it earlier though LOL. That way I could go to southern IL and visit some family!

If you're measuring 3 days ahead, that means your due date is changed. Some doctors tell you a different due date, others just say where you're measuring. Like, I went in for an ultrasound and got a due date of June 20th, a week later I got another one and was due June 22nd, then a couple weeks later I got another one and was due June 21st. It's no big deal.

yeh according to my lmp i would be due 17th feb but when i had my first scan they changed it to 14th feb i,ve since had 2 scans and they havnt changed it again so there fore my due date hasnt changed at every ulrasound i,ve had like you said "Everyone's due date changes every ultrasound they get" i was just saying it doesnt. everywise pcfwife would be expecting her due date to be different again when in fact it probably will be the same.........i agree most time they change it at your first scan but not every scan thats usually it after the 1st scan except in some cases not all......just wanted to clear that up lol

I was measuring 5 days ahead with Rylie for a little while and they never changed my due date. My due date remained June 24th by last period and ultrasound dating.

They don't "officially" change it unless it's over 2 weeks because that may mean there is something wrong with the baby.... that's when they order in all the tests or whatever. I had at least 5 different doctors throughout my pregnancy because of all the due date weirdness I went through. Some tell you a due date, other's tell you what week you're in...then there's some who'll say such and such weeks ahead. Technically your due date is determined by where the baby is measuring and I don't think any baby measures the same every time there's an ultrasound. Lose or gain a day here and there, it doesn't matter. Really the due date is more like due weeks. It can be anywhere from 38 to 40 weeks to be full term and most doctors will not stop labor from 36 weeks on. He or she comes when they come, a due date is just a date.

Oh i know. I was just saying bcuz i think its weird my due date didnt change with ultrasound dating. Thats like saying i conceived the day my period started. But Rylie match up with that most of the time so i think she was just a little larger then "average."

Haha my doctor was saying I conceived after I had a positive pregnancy test :P I don't believe these doctors. They swear there's no such thing as a big or small baby.

I think its perfectly normal for babies to grow and develop at different paces, as long as its not drastically behind or ahead. But what do i know? I dont have a medical degree.

I know for me my dd was always measuring ahead and what they would do when i had a scan was put how many weeks i was on one side in parentheses and they would put how many weeks i was measuring on the other side. SO like one of my scans they put it (25w6d) and then on the other side 26w4d. But my due date never changed, Your earliest ultrasound is the most accurate, after that babies tend to either be a little bigger or smaller than what their date says they should be. It's can be confusing but it doesn't necessaraly mean you baby will come any sooner or later.

It is perfectly normal. I don't know of anyone who measures the same throughout their entire pregnancy.

angel: actually they do. they won't bother telling you, though, because as amanda said, if it's within 2 weeks of your lmp due date, they'll stick with their due date they got at 6 weeks. the computer takes the size of the baby and calculates it's age based on size and then readjusts the due date according to the size. there really is no need to explain that to people who don't really understand it which is why they probably didn't tell you. most women don't know about that kind of stuff. i actually watch the computer do its thing and notice the due date it gives, and i have asked about it and was told as long as it's within those 2 weeks. they stay with their original guess. so, amanda was right.

amanda they dont change your due date only if your baby is messuring 2weeks ahead, they changed mine and my baby was only messuring 3days ahead..........the 2nd scan it was spot on to by the day and so the third im not startign anything im just saying no not ALL babys messure differently at evey scan like you say nor do they only change your due date if baby is messuring 2weeks or more...........yes you may of had yours changed lots of times babys grow differently some due dates DONT get changed at all thats all im saying
