Are you still living in their house? You are adult enough that a mature face-to-face convo is called for. Texting would be an obvious cop-out. Maybe you could prepare the path with a text like "Got real important news - when can we talk"? Keep in the back of your mind that your baby is their grand-baby, and most older folk enjoy the prospect of seeing the family line continued. GL!

i'm close to my mom too and idk how i'm going to tell her i was thinking of a text but that would just make things worse in my house im 18 and i'm not sure if i am or not so this is all just complicated...sorry i couldn't really help you but i think a text is not the way to go

if you are uncomfortable talking to your parents, perhaps you can invite an adult friend of the family to come to the house and then tell your parents with this additional person present whom the family feels comfortable with. chances are that your parents will help with finding you a good ob/gyn to help with your prenatal care. your parents will still love you. they may be hurt, if you are unmarried, but they want to help their "little girl" and make sure she still receives good medical care to keep you healthy
