How many of you saw your placenta after giving birth? I never saw mine but my sister was telling me she nearly fainted when she saw it, then Harold said it looked like an alien egg. For the sake of conversation, since it's a little slow here today, what was your reaction when you saw it, if you did?

I see one of mine very often. It's in my freezer!! I had a home birth. We will bury it someday in the forest or garden when we have one...I just cant throw it away...

I didn't see mine, but the doctor said it was partially deteriorating... he had to like reach his hand up IN me to get it out lol ew.

Eeeek! Someone was asking me how it felt to deliver the placenta and I was like "Um. It's like pooping out a big water balloon." Hahahaha.

What do they do with it in a c-section? Just scoop it out?

Here's something I thought was funny and pretty off topic, when my grandma gave birth for the first time they gave her this weird medicine that made her forget the whole thing. It didn't knock her out because she had to be awake to push, she just forgot about the whole thing! I asked her why they did that and she said "Well if women remembered they wouldn't want to have children anymore." hahaha.

Lol yea a c section they just scoop it our no big deal they never even told me they were doing it the only way i knew was they would tell me how the placenta looked after they removed it

My doctor didn't tell me I just felt something coming out lol I wasn't thinking about having to deliver it so I was like "wtf? TWINS??" hahahaha.
