Thanks for asking. I totally forgot to tell everyone, I've been working there for two weeks now. It's going really well, everyone is really nice. Oh but I didn't get the job that I first applied for, it's at the same hospital but I'm more like a receptionist. I pretty much just sit at the computer and sign patients in and out... then go on preg-info :D

I'm glad your enjoying your new job. I'm working now too! ha . Started a week ago. Which is why i've been so busy, and haven't been able to get online. I work at the Scottish Social Services Council and do all their paperwork. I'm an support administrator. =) i'm really enjoying it. I'm only doing it for a while though, because i am hoping that this reference will get me into the Dundee University as a Personal a__sistant. =) Anyway I'm glad you like your job amanda. =)

aww thata good to hear........it doesn't matter that its the job you applied for atleast your in the hospital and can hopefully work your way up good luck and congrats, glad you enjoy it

Aw thanks guys. I love working at a hospital. It feels like I'm doing some good, even if it's just signing people in and out. Lots of paperwork! Anyway yeah it took her a while to call me back so I had pretty much given up on it when she did call. She told me that she had to give the job I applied for to someone with more experience (boo!) but she said she felt like I was so pa__sionate about working there that she pulled a few strings and got me a job at the front desk. The only flaw being... I start work at 5:30AM! My first day I was yawning so much, I tried to go to sleep early but it just wasn't working. My boss actually came to me and said "We need you to stop yawning so much." and handed me a cup of coffee. I was embarra__sed but she was cool about it. The only thing I wish I could do, other than sleep in, is be in other areas of the hospital, not just the front desk. But, I've got to pay my dues and such :)

AWW!!!! Congratulations you guys! And a smack upside the head to Amanda for not saying anything!!!! They both sound like cool jobs!! I'm so jealous-I'm just so ready to be working-urggghhh!

Haha I know I can't believe I forgot to tell you! I usually update on everything... weird! Yeah I'm actually becoming friends with the girl who took my job haha. She comes down to the lobby on her lunch break and pretends like she's supposed to be there so we can talk haha. There's also another woman who I work along side my entire shift who's really nice and is a huge help when I don't know what to do. All in all I'm very pleased :) It's even better than I expected it to be ^_^

....do you know how to start a new thread. LOl this new web confusessss me. Although i like that you can have the reply box at the bottom and that you dont have to click again to return to the forum. =) some of its good. wish there were less adverts and c___p.

congrats on that, its borin starting from the bottom but its worth it, like now i bring a lot of my work home so i work my 8 hours, then i clock in another 3 a day at home GREAT OVERTIME!! haha and if you are pa__sionate about what you do ppl will see that and you will be up there in no time giving needles and stuff!

Haha yeah the work itself is pretty boring. It takes like 2 minutes to talk to a patient then I just send them up to where ever they need to go. We get like one patient every 20 minutes so most of the time I just sit and talk to people... wondering what's going on in the rest of the hospital. It's a Catholic church and there's this Jesus statue in there that really creeps me out after a while. He's always looking at me LOL
