Yup. You live with your parents? Going to school? Have a job? Married? Have a car? Have money? Want to lose your perfect stomach to stretch marks and excess skin? Want to get up 20 times a night because the baby cant sleep? Want to not be able to go out and be with friends when you want to? Of course you want to be a mommy despite all of this. Go ahead. If you have to ask your if your old enough to have a kid then your not.

I agree with Amanda19 - if you have to ask - then you are not ready.

GROW UP ALREADY!!!! Why don't you ask your mommy and daddy if they want to change their plans for the next 18 years and financially, logistically and emotionally raise a grand child. If the answer is YES, then go ahead and let your parents adopt. Good luck!

Or lets put it another way: You are 16, completely dependent on your parents FINANCIALLY. (And don't you think for a minute that some very part time job for minimum wage is really paying for more than your make-up) You even need your parents permission to get a job! As matter of fact unless you are emancipated (do you know what this means?), they are responsible for your behavior. You are not old enough to have s_x, or vote or get a job and discontinue school. Do you think you are ready?

Well I might sound like a hypocrite, seeing as how I'm only 17 and just one month away from being a mom, but yes 16 is too young. And I think Amanda19 pretty much summed it up for you.

Personally, this is going to sound odd to people...so READ ALL THE WAY....cause i know what you will think. Do i think 16 is too young to have a babie. NO. Now i'm not saying that TRYING AT 16 IS OKAY...NO CHANCE. HOwever, I am saying that i think you can be 16 and not be to young to have a babie. There are wonderful moms at 16 that have acted responsibly and kept their children even though they were accidents. So no i dont think its too young to have a babie and be a wonderful mother....is it going to be hard. YES, is it going to be painful when people bully you..yes...But will it be worth it? YES. I do NOT condone kids trying for babies, however when there is a young girl making herself and standing on her own to want to raise her baby and grow and learn. THen yes...i think its right and that she is not to young to be a mother. Sometimes having a baby at a young age if its an accident...isn't somethinghorrible..sometimes it can make that girl grow. Now i dunno why everyone just a__sumed that she wanted a baby. Cause thats not how i flt when i read it. I felt....maybe shes asking how hard it is for a 16 year old who has to make her difficult choice. Well i say to you, if your pregnant .....you make YOUR choice....you are NEVER TO YOUNG TO BE A WONDERFUL MOM...

PreciousBaby19, come on...age a few years here or there beyond, say 20 doesn't make a huge difference in life. BUT at 16 you are in high school, COMPLETELY dependent on your parents, living at home. You can't pay for anything besides a coke and make up. You would have to give your child all day to day care (what a horrible shame). Sorry, but there are certain rights of pa__sage at certain ages, like legal age to work without parental consent, drink, vote, have s_x etc. Telling anyone that 16 is a fine age to be a mother is plain and simple stupid advice.

um exuse me but do you know where this girl lives?? u have stupid have stupid ruleswhere u come from! I was not dependant on my parents at 16!! jeesh i didnt even live at home i had a job had finished school! so dont a__sume she is depentend on her parents ect! am i saying i would of been ready at 16..........probably not i was only only earning £300 a month and lived in hostle for homeless people........but i feel im ready now and im only 18, the reason a think im ready...............im financialy ready emotional ready and phisicly ready, i have a car a ful time job flat...........my point is you dont know this girls situation at all

the law is u can have s_x at 16 so ur old enuff to have a bay but have a baby when ur ready and had a life no need to rush
