You would ovulate about 14 days before your period is due, so you don't want to have s_x within about 5 days of that time. You are probably okay since it is rare to ovulate so soon after your period. There is something called the Plan B pill, that was made for incidence like this. If you take it within 72 hours it will prevent his sperm from getting to your egg. It is NOT to be used as regular birth control, and is only for when there are mistakes and slip ups such as this. If you are under the age of 18, you need a parent to get it for you. Good luck.

Condoms may break because of use-by date, poor storage, poor use, improper lubricants. A woman's egg is released at ovulation, 14 days or so before the next expected period. The egg needs to meet up with sperm within a day if it is to be fertilized. Sperm can hang around waiting for an egg to be released for as much as 5 days, Women do sometimes get pregnant from s_x on the last day of their period, due to a combination of long-lived sperm and early ovulation, but the chance is low - maybe 5%. If it is really important not to get pregnant after a broken condom incident (or rape, etc.) then the morning after pill PlanB will give you a dose of hormones that dramatically reduces the chance of a fertilized egg from implanting. PlanB can be bought over the counter for $30 by anyone over the age of 18. It should be taken as soon as possible after the incident, up to several days. The hormones will likely mess with your next cycle. Good luck!

Plan B doesn't ALWAYS work but I doubt you'd get pregnant anyways because it's only a day after your period. Good luck.
