I have a question... >< My husband was reading some of your posts the other day well everyones lol he was bored and I was in the shower and he said "HEY... that girls son... his name is Dante.. that's such a great name.." and we named off a bunch of other boy names that we like.. well if it comes down to it, would you mind if we used Dante? We aren't even sure if that one out of the other 4 we have is what we want or if it's a boy but I feel like I should ask before I do or say anything!! Now this part is to everyone else. We've picked out some girl and boy names we BOTH like. Here is the list. Tell me what you think. BOY: Conner, Dante (if DB doesn't mind), Ethan, Nathan, Edward, Colin, and Vincent. GIRLS: Faith, Amber, Hailey, Kaylin, Maia, Emma, Ava, Kayce, and Aubrey.

For a boy I like: Conner, Dante, and Colin. For a girl I like: Ember, Emma, Maia, and Aubrey :)

For boys-I've alwas loved the names Ethan and Vincent. If you don't want your little boy to be a chick magnet then don't pick those-cuz every guy named Ethan or Vincent I've ever met has been hot and a big player. Girls-I love Emma, Ava, and Aubrey-they are very distinguished names-Very old fashioned and elegant. I also like Maia because it brings to mind an exotic spitfire personality. I liked Hailey, but when your daughter goes through school there's going to be like hundreds of Haileys-Thanks eminem for making that name explode!!! Good luck and what names do YOU like the most???

Lol I know they will, gah. Well I like them all really.. I don't know if I could just as yet pick/stick to one or two names alone O_O

Lol I'm the opposite-- every guy I know named Ethan or Vincent turns out to be a total jerk :D Otherwise I think I would like the names.

LOL!!!! Sorry, but yeah the Ethans are always jerks, but the vincents I've known are usually kind of nerdy or are mommas boys but very attractive. They aren't the meanest-just preoccupied with school, mom, and getting laid constantly-sooo maybe that is a bad idea for a name. LOL. Sorry I don't think I'm helping but I will say this, I believe in picking names that mean the most to you or are the most relevant to your life right now. That's how I came up with my son's name. His first and middle names came from songs that really described what I was going through at the time of my pregnancy, and used a metaphor for the person bringing the singer out of that dark place-I saw him as that so I gave him that name. The middle name came from the Regina Spektor song, Samson-that has double meaning for me. First the song mentions the struggles of trying to defeat forces but almost being forgotten and that's how I felt, then there's the line "I loved you first" which I always want my son to know I did. No matter how many kids I have, no matter how he was conceived, no matter who I love in the future-I loved him first!!! That was relevant at the time because I scared myself thinking how lost my son will be someday if I get married, it won't be to his father and I have other kids. I was so scared that would damage him. Those songs got me through the hard times and also I played the Regina Spektor album to my belly all the time and when Samson came on he would stop kicking so hard and settle in to a comfy spot. It's so weird that I wasplaying that song when he was a newborn and he always looked up with a look on his face like he recognized it-I even got my first smile from him when I turned it on one day. Now I'm not saying be weird like me and name your kid after songs-buuuuuttt I am saying, if you can't make up your mind, look at the meanings of the name and see what has the most relevance to this point in your life, or to someone you love, etc. Have you looked up the meanings??? I think the next time I'm bored I will-let me know if you want me to post them.

my hubby and i had decided on ethan as a boys name if we had one. i'll just say you loved it so much =P i dunno what the deal is with name taking. i liked vincent at one point and my 18 year old sister who isn't anywhere close to having kids got upset because she liked that name.

angelmonkey - July 28

hehe if we have a girl we are going to call her emma! i think boys anmes are really hard we came up with alex but im still not sure

amanda17 - July 28

haha, Teddy I know what you mean. When I found out I was having a girl I wanted to name her Audrey at first... but my sister got so mad she said that when she has a girl she wants to name her Audrey. Even though the chances of her having a girl are unlikely (her husband has 14 siblings...all male) and even though I liked the name first *sticks out tongue and pulls sisters hair* I let her have her way. I'm happy with the name she has now anyway.

lol....well I finally just got on here and saw this post......Welll you are haveing a girl so dont know dante will work well for that.....but if you end up haveing a boy or you have another that is a boy...OF COURSE use dante if you like it! I think it would only bother me if it was a sibling who uses the name after I already have it picked out...lol actually my sister did that...I always wanted to name my girl Jordyn (with a Y) and when she had her daughter before I had children, she named her daughter....can you gues?....Jordyn! I was p__sed! but now 7 years later Im not even to sure Id like the name for a girl

AddysMummy - July 31

Lol well thanks anyways DB! I don't think we're gonna have another for about 5 yrs which is FINE by me lol. Mirena !!!! xD But yeah we have now narrowed it down but are like "huh... what to name her... out of all these names.. "
