Cute!! Addy loves Victoria, and she treats her so well. Victoria is screamy a LOT so it is rough recently. But that's ok I love her.

Tummy time is when the baby plays on their tummy.

kiara's doing great. she doesn't care for tummy time, but loves to practice holding her head up when we're carrying her. scary when she throws herself back, though lol. and she's cooing all the time and talking to her toys and she's started to reach out and grab for her toys. we were in walmart and i had given her a teddybear to look at while we shopped and she reached out and grabbed his feet after smiling at him for so long...we HAD to buy it for her lol. she's 2 months now and 23.5 inches (i measured her at 25) and 13lb 10oz so she's so big! she's also started studying everything, including the tv when i watch it, so i've started recording sesame street for her. if she's going to watch the tv, she's going to watch something good, not desperate housewives lol. and most of the time, i sit her in her bouncy seat in front of the open window and she loves to watch the leaves b__w. she's just so smart! oh yes and her eyes are blue and her hair is a strawberry blond...i work my booty off for 9 months and all i get is the nose lol. oh well, she's gorgeous!!!! i have new pics of her on my myspace ladies AND my husband has a site up of her pictures. it's gallery.me.com/finchster

Don't be so sure Teddy :) I have a friend who's son was born with blonde hair and blue eyes, at six months all of his hair fell out and grew back dark dark brown and his eyes turned brown too. He looks like a totally different baby now haha. And Ellie hated tummy time too... I didn't really force her into it even though they say you're supposed to. 20 minutes a day is the recommended time but I was like efff that I'm not gonna sit around and watch her cry for 20 minutes! She loves it now though... Now that she can crawl and move around it's a lot more fun.

yeah i think kiara gets frustrated so i lay her on my tummy and she's not trying to lift her head laying down horizontally. she's more at an incline. did you look at the pics?

Yes, she's so cute! I dunno how determined you are about tummy time but I had a lot of people trying to pressure me into forcing her to do it when she didn't want to. I didn't listen of course because it's not up to them to make those decisions... I put her on her tummy occasionally when she was in a good mood but for the most part I found other ways to help her learn to lift up that she enjoyed. I'd pick her up like a big girl and have her sit on my hip (supporting her back of course). Her head would be a bit dangly but I did it regularly and she could hold her head up without wobbling at all at 8 weeks. When she started wanting to be on her tummy it was around the time that she was supposed to be lifting her front half off the floor so she got it right away.

i hear the "are you doing regular tummy time?" line a lot but i'm doing it the same way you did. i've actually been picking kiara up like a big girl from day 1. my hands aren't big enough for me to feel comfortable with picking her up one hand under her bottom, the other hand under her head, but my fingers are long enough for me to pick her up like a big girl and support her head. i don't think tummy time is so important that we should force our kids to do it and have them be miserable.

Yeah, I agree with you. My hospital has a program called Bridges for Newborns, and they come by my house like once a week. They were REALLY pushy about tummy time. I really don't think it's a big deal. It's not like if you don't do it she'll never be able to hold her head up. Like she'll be 30 with a wobbly head... which is how they were making it seem!
