Hey :) I was just wondering how soon is too soon to test?I'm due to start my period on sat, but haven't felt right for the past week, I'm on the pill but have had two lots of antibiotics this month. Im due to start taking the pill again on mon and wanted to know if i was pregnant would it show so soon on a test? thanks x

i believe you have to miss a period first, before it will show up.
also, the antibiotics can mess up your birth control.

yeh im due on this saturday and due to start takin the pill the following mon, if I tested on mon would it show up or would it be 2 soon? :) thnx 4 ur response x

It is possible that antibiotics can make the pill less effective, In your situation, though, if you did happen to ovulated this cycle it would be next to impossible to know when you did. Most women, who are not on the pill, ovulate around the middle of their cycle, or about 2 weeks before their period is due. For them around the time their period is due is around the time a test will show up positive, if they are pregnant. Some early resonse tests can give results sooner. If you did ovulate it may have been later in your cycle, meaning it would take longer to show up positive. You can always try now with an early resonse test and see what happens, but if i were you i would wait until you have missed your period, if it still hasn't shown up by the time you are ready to start taking your pill again and the test is negative call your doctor and have them do a blood test to be sure. In the future, if you have to take antiboitics again, make sure to use a back up method, like a condom, the rest of the month. Godd luck

hey, thank you 4 ur help,I'll wait and see what happens this weekend. I know it sounds silly as I haven't missed yet i'm just a little worried as I haven't felt myself the past week x
