Hey ya'll. Just wanted to post an update about me and my family. Things are going pretty well right now. Ryan just won Rookie of the Year as you know. And now hes sole winner, no sharing, lol. We're starting to move into our new house. Ill get some pics posted on myspace eventually. We find out the s_x of this baby in a few weeks. Im so so nervous. We're really hoping for a boy! I feel pretty good about it. We havnt had power since Sunday due to a windstorm. They're saying it may be up to another 10 days. They sent most of the power company workers to Texas to help out before this happened. They came right out and said they're not worried about the county i live in bcuz its mainly farming communities. They want to get the metro areas first. Which is understandable. Though they need to remember who feeds them, lol. There is so much damage everywhere and people stranded with no gas. But anyway, for the most part thing are going very well right now. I finally found that happiness i searched for so long for. All i had to do was open my eyes to all the good and close my eyes to the past. I had it all along, just refused to accept it bcuz im so damn stubborn, lol.

Aww, that's beautiful. Congrats to you momma. I'm glad your life is where you want it. That's wonderful! I bet you're exciting about finding out the s_x though :) I know I was. I couldn't wait lol! Good luck.

Thanks! I am very, very excited. I want to know now. Ive even considered going and complaining of cramps or something so i can have an ultrasound. But i dont wanna jinx myself. Ill just wait patiently. Yea right. Im so happy right now. Things arent perfect but im happy with how they are. I mean, i really dont have anything to complain about.

Yeah I remember how you feel.. I found out at 18 weeks my mom said "I'll pay for your 3D ultrasound" and so we made it for the SOONEST appointment lol!

We have power, yay! I have a busy day tomorrow. I have 18 week bloodwork, a thyroid ultrasound, and my regular ob appt. I should get my gender ultrasound order! Im going to be tempted to make it right away but im going to wait until im 20 weeks just to be certain. Which is Oct. 1st. Sooo far away :(

AddysMummy - September 17

Aww Jeeze why is it that far away!!! I'd be flipping and going nuts lol. I already was going nuts by wayyy too early I wanted a boy that bad. Why do you need a thyroid ultrasound if you don't mind me asking.

Newbaby, I'm not a teen but am on one of the other forums Problems Getting Pregnant all the time and saw you are in Ohio...whereabouts? Just curious because I fortunately have power and only lost it for about 2 hours on Sunday but all the communities within a mile of me don't. I'm in a farming area.

newbaby2009 - September 17

Im in Preble County, southwest Ohio. What part are you in? We got our power back around 9 pm last night. About 1/3 of the county still does not have it.

Amanda19 - September 17

I;m glad everything is going so well for you! And really glad you got power back!

Erin61877 - September 17

I'm in Pickaway County, north of Ross County. We didn't lose it for long but I guess a lot of farmish counties still don't have it. My sister is in Fairfield and still doesn't.

newbaby2009 - September 17

Thanks Amanda19! Erin, yea the power companies stated the farm areas are last on their list. They're going to the business areas first. We have Duke energy who has the highest count of customers without power.

Erin61877 - September 17

That's what I heard, the Duke customers were the most people without electric. I have South Central Power. I know sounds ghetto. LOL!!

newbaby2009 - September 17

Ive never even heard of south central power. It is quite a gansta nmae, lol. Around here we have Duke, Dayton Power and Light, and Edison. I say bring our workers home from Texas until their hometowns are straightened out.

concerned00 - September 17

Hi, just curious what you meant by straightened out?

newbaby2009 - September 17

Straightened out as in all power returned and all the damage/debris cleaned up. I understand they're helping out people in much more need then us but home should come first in my opinion. I dont any drama to come from this.

concerned00 - September 17

no i wasnt and totally understand your feelings. No power is c___ppy and it sucks if it could be restored quicker, but everyone is gone somewhere else helping. Im from texas and know many people stuck down here, so i was just curious. And even being from here, i dont agree with the amount of people who stayed, choosing to "ride out the hurricane" and are now complaining they cant get out or dont have food, water, power etc. Tho i do know many many people who just plain couldnt leave..due to jobs, money, whatever. (Dont want to offend anyone who chose to stay through the hurricanes, i have loved ones that did also.) Hope everyone everywhere gets there power back soon!

newbaby2009 - September 17

Yea it definately sucks. Im glad we had a generator to run our fridge and freezer. I know alot of people who are out alot of money because of food loss. I cant imagine this happening when Rylie was an infant, needind to warm her formula and she was on a nebulizer (breathing machine).
