Well any time having s_x can get you pregnant, depending on when you ovulate. If you have an average not weird or rare ovulation time, you'd ovulate 14 days before your period starts and you get pregnant when you ovulate. Sperm can live up to five days, so from 5 days until ovulation is a very high chance of getting pregnant. Usually the best time is during, immediately before, or immediately after your period.

However, if I may add, that method of birth control is often unreliable... Probably depending on how fertile you are. Be sure to use at least two kids of proven methods of birth control... ie. condoms and the pill.

If you aren't taking proper birth control you should look up "Family Planning" as birth control. Where some women chart when they ovulate and all of that, do that for a few months, then just don't have s_x within 5 days before or after you supposedly ovulate.

As you can see from what Amanda said, it is risky to go natural, because you aren't suppose to base it off of 14 days after your period starts (unless you are on a perfect 28 day cycle every month), you're basing it off the prediction of when your next period is supposed to come on. That risky because as women we go through periods of time where we may ovulate twice, or ovulate early or late-putting you at risk for getting pregnant. Always use protection!
