Well as most of you know I have endometriosis. My surgery has been schedualed for Nov 13 at 6 am. Wednesday afternoon I wasn't feeling well, by about 4pm I thought I was going to die from the pain. I rushed myself to the emergency room, and they got me right back because my vitals were a mess, they attempted to feel aound on my abdomen and I just screaled the pain was so bad, so they stopped and got a iv going because I was dehydrated and gave me toridol and morphine for the pain. Really all that just took the edge off. They did s pelvic exam. It was VERY painful and then rushed me for a CT scan and a ultrasound. Long story short I got out of the hospital early friday morning. I asked to be sent home. The wind up is that the endometriosis has spread to my stomach and organs. I haven't been able to keep any food down and at the hospital I weighed 98lbs. They put me on a surgar drip for calories and also have me on the same stomach meds they put chemotheropy patients use. But really now I just feel. Sick and constipated. I have several ovarian cyst and a few oif them ruptured which added to the pain. My white blood cell count was elevated so they are going to do a biopsy when they do my surgery to check to see if the cyst are cancerious (sp). They sent me home with enough pills that I get full off taking them. Now I have to live with the pain til hopfully the surgery gets everything causeing me pain. But other then that I am on bedrest for the weekend, which I'm not following orders very well and I will hopfully return to work on mon which is against dr orders as well. I am stubborn what can I say. Well anyways just thought I would give a little update and vent it out a little. Hope everyone else is well

Lol.....the best thing to do is google it. In a nut shell, endometriosis is is where the endometrium lining of the uterus growa outside of the uterus, but you will prob understand it better if you google it cause I am still learning about it

I already decided a while back that if i couldnt have kids i wouldnt feel sorry for myself because I have two little boys who are gifts from god ( i know that sounds cheesey, but hey i am a mom) I will do everything in my power to make sure i only have a hysterectomy if i REALLY need one, but as for not being able to have kids in general. i really want more but i am not going to sulk in sorrow when i already have so much. I am actually mainly worried about the cyst. my grandmother and great grandmother on my mothers side, both dies relitively yound from oviarian cancer, before my older sister was even born. a good friend of mine convinced me to sign up for a cancer health plan. It is probably being a little over dramatic but, for two months until i find out i am in the clear i would rather be safe then cancel the policy later> i am also worried>.....maybe one of you can help answer this. after I had my lo it was noticed that my uterus is tilted to the left, well apearently it has gotten way worse and is now really tilted to the left> anyone know what can cause this?

Google "does a tilted uterus cause endometriosis." There is alot of info on it, though it all says endometriosis causes the tilted uterus, not the other way around.

maybe i am reading it wrong......it is the only thing i found though. but you are right everything says that endo can cause a tilted uterus. this is what i found........I may be mis understanding it, it could mean what you are saying
a retroverted uterus may signal an underlying condition such as endometriosis or pelvic inflammatory disease, which can affect fertility. These conditions — not the angle of the uterus — can make it harder for you to get pregnant. They can create scar tissue that may make it more difficult for the egg to get through the Fallopian tube to unite with the sperm.

As i read it, its saying a tilted uterus is a sign of having endometriosis. Not that it causes it. Like if you have a tilted uterus, its a good idea to get checked for endometriosis because it could be a sign you have it. Know what im saying?
