I say yes. It's starch that turns to sugar. Now listen to this, I just had the 1 hour test, forgot I had to take it that day. CAlled the doctor to be sure I could still go for the test even though I had coffee with sugar and rice pudding about an hour before the test. They said it's a non-fasting test and it's fine, fine, fine. Well, the score came back high and now I have to go for a 3 hour test where you have to fast. Annoying. I'm sure the level was spiked from the sugar. I had this test iwth my first and had nothing beforehand and it came back fine. I have to do the 3 hour tomorrow. Keep me posted as to how it comes back. They say with the score I got on the 1hour, it's about 50/50 whether the 3 hour comes back fine or not.

I had to fast for the 1 hour glucose test. No eating or drinking after midnight. I think it definetly makes a difference.
