Anyone Had An Unusual Shaped Sac In 1st Scan

I I went for my first scan last week and the embryonic sac is an unusual shape (like a squished bowling pin). The doc is worried and I havent been able to find anyone who has reached their third trimester with this.
Has anyone here reached their third trimester after seeing this in early scan (mine was 5 1/2 weeks).

hey, I probably wont be much help... I dont know anything about this stuff... as far as I know everything looked good and 'normal' at my first scan so I cant really share my experience, sorry. try to stay positive! you and your baby are in my thoughts and prayers. good luck hon!

good :) I tried doing a google search on this and couldn't find ANYTHING. Im not sure what the deal is.. maybe the fetus just hasn't developed yet or something... 5 and a half weeks is early *shrug* maybe nothing is wrong at all, lets hope for that! do you have another scan anytime soon?

well, I have been able to find other women on other forum sites with similar issues. this is something one lady said in response to a post about an unusual shapes Ges. sac.
""Gestational sacs come in various shapes. They are different shaped and different clarity due to the type of u/s machine used. Try to drink lots and lots of water. That will help the sac as well in keeping it healthy. Keep us posted how things go. "" I hope that is encouraging for you! by the way the lady who posted the original question about it ended up having a healthy baby :) good luck hon.
