Hey all! Pleased to say I gave birth to baby Ewan at 20.53 on February 15th! On the 14th February about 7pm I noticed that the "dribbles" on my panty liner where heavier than usual, also it was a strange colour kind of like urine but with a greenish tinge, I wasnt too worried as there wasnt much coming out but I started to have to change my pants every 15mins so I checked with L&D and they said that I was leaking amniotic fluid so off to the hospital we went, when I stepped out of the car I had a big burst of fluid, so with soggy pants in we went, I was only 1 cm dilated but because he had done a B/M I had to be induced by the drip right away! so it was inserted about 11pm, I didnt really have contractions but my back was sooo sore so I got an epi when I was 2cm at 3am it took the edge off but it certainly did not do much to ease the back pain - ouch! I had a few complications, racing pulse, high temp, high blood pressure but it was all monitored and i was fine! Time wise its kind of blurry as I was so exhausted and in pain i practically drifted in and out of consciousness there were alot of nice midwives and my mum, dad and bf took it in turns to sit with me! I remember pushing where I tried my hardest but his head was just not coming down far enough, so an hour later I was up on stirrups and having a forceps delivery they cut me and he gushed out a few moments later it felt like I could feel it all, the forceps, him coming out, the st_tches, so all in labour lasted almost 22 hours, it was sooo painfull, but worth it he is a little darling and i didnt know the s_x so it was a wonderful surprise!
