Ive seen alot of woman say that their baby is breech and that they can tell that they are breech. Or that they can feel their baby flip into head down position. This is my second pregnancy and I am clueless as to how you can even tell. I feel kicking at the top and bottom of my stomach. Personally i dont think you could tell but i guess its just a curiosity quesiton. Are these woman just guessing or is there actually a way of knowing without an u/s or exam from a doc.

I believe they can tell - at my last appointment my Doctor showed me how to feel for my baby's head - you can definitely tell the difference between the head and little b___t.....you can always ask your doctor to show you at your next appointment - as for feeling the baby move or getting head down - I can't tell that at all - I can just feel her head down and her b___t up - my doc is pretty confident that she will stay that way - I am 33 weeks now .....

oh exciting, congrats. yea, see it all feels the same to me. lol. plus if i start pushing around trying to feel it i start to get a braxton hick and it gets all hard. When did your doc check to see if shes head down? I think its my next appt that shes checking, with my daughter i also got an ultrasound. ( ill be 33 weeks on sun)

Im right there with you faye... my doc told me at my last appointment (two weeks ago) that baby was still breech and I have been trying to feel to see if she has flipped lol.. sometimes I "think" I can feel her b___t up and such but I think its more wishful thinking than anything else. I have an appointment tomorrow (i'll be one day shy of 36 weeks) and doc says if baby is still breech they are going to schedule me for an ECV. Im hoping she flipped on her own though.

the doctors are pretty good at being able to tell - mine WAS breech but not anymore. They have a lot of time to flip - they can even do it in the midst of labor from what I've read. I still can't tell what is what!
