After being set up for induction on June 5 and being told that they were full and I would be bumped again for the 2nd day in a row my doctor stripped my membranes and told me to go home and have s_x. That was at 10 am. So we did the deed and I walked and just started to feel contractions sporadicly seeing as though I have an irritable uterus I didn't see much difference is pattern but there intensity picked up so at about 3:30 I called my ob and asked if I could be checked. I was crossing my fingers that I would be more than 3cm 80% effaced ( for 5weeks) And I was I was 5cm!! yippee. But I told her until I can't walk through them anymore I was going home. She advised me no and I had to go the hospital because my baby was at a -5 station not even near the pelvis!! If my water broke the cord would most likely the cord would come first. So went to the hospital feeling the contractions but they were tolerable but every 5 mins!! I got the hospital and they told me I would have to have my water broke in the OR because of the cord and I got my huge scare with the anesthesiologist and going under! But i was ready. The doc came in and checked me before we went back to the OR and I was 7 cm and my water broke on it's own and the baby dropped to a -2 station so I was ok. So all in all I did get the epidural at 8 pm and was 8 cm I was still ok I was only in pain at the peak on the contraction but I know what was to come with transition so....the Spinal wore off at 9:30 and I was ready to push at 9:50. Caleb was born in 8 mins and 6 pushes. He was sunny side up through the labor which is why it took me so long ( not that a 5 hour hospital labor is long) He was kicking til he was born. You could literally see him kicking me while his head was out!! LOL I had no st_tches and left the hospital at 5pm on Friday. I am a little tired and my back freakin kills but Other than that caleb sleeps great at night and is a really patient baby!! Thank god, it's my third.

Raiken I am so happy for you and I hope my third baby is like your Caleb! That is so awesome - what a fast labor awesome! My 2 previous labors were about 10-12 hrs once getting to the hospital....so 5 hrs seems pretty short! Congrats on your new little one.
