Is This Lightening Pain Engagement

I have a pain that shoots down my va___a area. It comes and goes, its more likely to happen when standing or walking. Im 33 weeks pregnant. I have a short torso, and Im short (5 feet), I think I have dropped. I heard that lightening could mean labor is 2-4 weeks away, is it true? I have had this for a few weeks, but it has increased in intensity since.

I don't know, but I have exactly the same thing. I"m 34.5 weeks right now and I've had these pains for a couple weeks as well, but definitely increasing in intensity the past week. It feels like I can hardly walk sometimes! I hope it means going early!

it could mean going early i was experiencing the same pains and turned out i was in premature labor!

I would think that too.. except its been going on for weeks. But, I guess i have to wait and see if anything new happens.

i have felt like that for 1 week now and today i am 36 weeks. when i went to the dr. on thursday she checked me b/c i told her that i felt like i was being riped in half down there and my lower back was/ is killing me and i am 4cm 70% and 0 station. she said that i will not make it to 40 wks and mabye not even 37 so it is going to be any day

Oh wow really! The doctor isn't concerned right? I mean obviously the baby will be fine regardless.Especially since your 36 weeks. I havn't been checked for dilation yet, I still got 2 weeks till I see my doctor again. I'll be 36 weeks then. If I don't go into labor before then. Is this your first?
