Mason Minchey S Birth Story

I was scheduled for my c section on Friday July 25th. I woke up that morning calm and ready to meet my son. My hubby on the other hand was a wreck. He was so nervous. He kept saying and doing things way out of character for him. It was really cute. We got there at noon and they got me ready to go in the or. I went in at 2pm and they did the spinal which was great. I barely felt it. Then they let my hubby come in and sit down beside me. My son was born at 2:24pm at 8lbs 1/2 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. They cleaned him and put him on my chest. They had to take him to the nursery to get a little oxygen. Since it was a c section not all the water was out. So him and daddy went and I stayed behind to get sown back up. It wasn't a bad experince at all. Actually i found nothing wrong with it. All the ladies were nice and I was comfortable the entire time. They did say that my placenta was huge but I never saw it. Anyways Mason had to have a bubble put on his head to give him 25% oxygen. I was in recovery from 3-7pm and I got to go to my room. I didn't get to see Mason till 11pm becuase of the low oxygen levels but when they finally brought my son in I started to bawl my eyes out like a baby... he is so cute. He has my lips and nose and my hubbys eyes, chin, cheeks and ears... I am truely blessed!!!!
