Oh wow, KATE. You could be having the baby soon! Get to typing, girl! lol I can't believe everyone is ready for their little bundles. I checked on my pregnancy tracker and I have thirty days until my due date. I just can't believe it. I'm so ready to have him, but I know I still have things I need to get finished (like moving into the new apartment, for example!) But I watched a show on discover health channel today where a girl moved into a new apartment 4 days before her due date, so I don't feel quite as bad that its cutting so close. I'm just ready to hold him and be a mom! Anyone making any plans for mother's day this year?

Hi girls! So I went to the Dr today for my week 37 appointment and got the group b strep swab and was checked. I'm totally closed which is good...I need to wait it out for my c-section date on the 15th. And of course my little one is still breech! He hasn't changed positions in 2 months. So we have a week to decide whether or not we want to attempt the cephalic version. The Dr. said I am a "decent" candidate for it. There are some strikes against me and then there are some good things going for me too. Basically it's a 50/50 chance it will work and complications may occur. As of now, we are leaning against it for several different reasons. But I am still going to take some time to think about it this week. Other than that, I just have to hope that my little guy will wait for the 15th. If he doesn't and I go into labor, they wil make me stay in labor for quite a while before they give me the c-section because I would more than likely have a full stomach. It's getting a little complicated now, but it could be worse! I suppose that's what I get for having such a breezy pregnancy up until now! Oh, and the Dr. said there is a chance he could still turn so hopefully he will! She also said he's of average size...around 7 to 8 lbs. I wonder who's next? Sounds like it could be you, Kate_!

hey girls just wanted to pop in and say congrats RMC!! And reneenay I had a version done with my son. It didn't work but I didn't have any complications from it either. It was a little painful just because there were two men pushing as hard at they could on my belly/baby. They kept talling me to relax but how are you suppose to relax! lol It's not bad and I think you might as well try it. They'll do it close enought o your due date that if something were to happen you could have your baby right away. They monitor you the whole time on and off. Good luck to you and good luck to the rest of you ladies! Jen I'd call your doctor too...I had something similar but I think it was just a muscle or something.

Hi Ladies, everyone is progressing so well. My Child is still hanging in there, I have not dilated and my due date is May 5th. RMC, congrats I am happy for you and your Baby Boy. laurenn11, you are doing great with your walking, I wish I had your frame of mind; keep up the good work. Have been having so much pain from my fibroid, I have been to Labor & Delivery and they just prescribed Tylenol 3, which I decided not to take. The pains are unbelievable I could barley walk or take a deep breath sometime. I cant take it any more, I just called and left my doctor a message. Well Ladies, take it easy and enjoy your day. I will keep you posted.

RENEE, why do they want to turn your baby if you're just going to have a c-section anyway? Sounds like a lot of work for nothing. LUCKY, I'm sorry you're in so much pain. I hope they can do something for you

Hi ladies. Red, some of the complications could be fetal distress, placental abruption (the placenta would basically break away from the lining of my uterus), and severe maternal pain. The success rate also depends on the size of the baby, the amount of amniotic fluid, where the placenta and cord are located, etc. Still not sure what I want to do! ChattyKathy, if did the version and it worked, they would just let me go into labor on my own and not perform the c-section. They just wanted to schedule me for a c-section in the event that the baby doesn't turn on it's own or if they can't turn it.

Hello ladies!!! So, who is starting the new thread??? Went to my 38 1/2 week OB appointment today. She said that the baby has dropped and it's just a waiting game now! For some reason, she didn't check my cervix and I didn't ask because she was really running late because of an emergency earlier at the hospital, and by the time she saw me, I was sooooooooooooo hungry that I just wanted to get out of there!!! But she did check the position and measured. I'm glad because my uterus still grew from 2 cms this week, so it seems that she's catching up. 10 more days to go!!! Reneenay: tough choice, but I know many people who did the version and didn't have any complications. wv_red: are you still having contractions? Sterlin, what a pleasant surprise! I hope you are doing well!
