Painful Movements

Is it normal to have pain when the baby moves? I am 32 weeks and sometimes when she turns around it actually hurts. I get sharp pains down there. Where I actually stop what I'm doing and sometimes hold my breath! Just wondering if that was normal or I was just crazy?

iam 32 weeks too and yes i have those painful movement when i actually say cant u keep quiet. but you know he is funny he moves a lot and hurts me and sometimes he just scares me by not doing anything at all. So i prefer the pain that the guess work. these little ones are having a personality already.

I have it too, I am pretty sure it is the baby pushing down on your cervix. This is good, and softens your cervix for labor. Do a few deep breaths (also good practice for labor) and it will go away!

I get the same thing too and my lo moves to the point that it makes me want to pee. Like goldfish said that its better they move then not at all. Surewinwilliams is right about it pushingdown on your cervix and getting everything moving for when its time for labor. If the cramps get too intense I would definitely mention it to your OB so they are aware incase they want to look into it further and make sure everything is fine which I am pretty sure it is. You might even get another u/s out of it, YEAH! More time to see baby before birth. GL and take care.

Yip, I had lots of painful movements between 30 adn 36 weeks, now I am 37 weeks and it seems to be tapering off. I think my worst pain was when he was turning to go head down, I would feel huge painful movements. Now that he is getting so big it feels more like a dolphin swimming. More ripples then pain, but I remember being hunched over in pain a lot!

i feel pain sometimes as well. sometimes instead of a "bump" feeling i feel almost like a piercing feeling in there and it drives me crazy. its like she is digging her lil feet or hands in my organs and dragging across them! eek! but i agree i rather feel that then nothing at all. :)

Ohhh yes. Had this with my first. Those little feet can make it right up your rib cage. Gently ma__sage your belly to help eas the baby to a new postion, or try rolling. If rolling is painful at night here's somthing I used- it's new, just google Bed-pal maternity straps. These helped me out a ton at night. Baby will be hear soon, and you will forget about all of this when you see that beautiful face :-)

Oh, I had this constanstly for the last 6 weeks of my pregnancy w/ my daughter, and I had her 2 weeks early....it was horrible.. I would literally be sitting in our rocking chair squeezing the c___p out of the arms and crying because it hurt so bad and there was nothing I could do to stop it..and it wasn't contractions, it was her rubbing her little bald head on my cervix!!

I get frequent cervical pains....at one point I asked my hubby if she had to grow anymore cause it is hurting really bad! And this is my second child!

Yes, yes, yes! It just started happening last week and I am 32 weeks as well. It hurts so bad that I wince and shriek...if I was in public someone would think something is seriously wrong with me! It feels like he's pressing his big head right on my cervix (and sometimes my rectum) and punching it too. And it happens like 100 times a day. And we have 2 months to go...yikes! Nothing like literally getting your b___t kicked from the inside! But it will all be worth it in the end.
