I have been having period cramps lately and I feel so nauseated-like i usually do when my period is coming on. I am almost 30 weeks is this normal? I haven't had cramps since early preg and i told my dr who checked me a wk ago and everything was ok, (closed and high) but it seems like the cramps are getting worse- don't get me wrong; nothing like real cramps during that time of the month but those cramps you get right before that suddenly remind you oh GOD here it comes. :) any advice is appreciated!

I had that and my doctor told me that it was the baby settling heads down. If you start getting bad backaches though or have bleeding or the pain takes your breath away or comes at regualr intervals, I would go to the L&D. Also just to ease your mind you could also call your doctor and ask what is normal and what you should watch out for. I do know what you are talking about though. I started getting them at around 34 weeks I want to say and still do at 38. GL!!

HI yeh I agree with Jen this will probably be your muscles, ligaments etc adjusting to let the babies head down! I had that around week 34, at my next appointment baby was 1/5 engaged, although im overdue and its still 1/5 engaged so unfortunately it doesnt necessary mean early labor!

With my first the slightest thing would give me cramps once I pa__sed about 30 weeks. I'm 29 weeks now and find that I get them if I walk around for too long, get up too fast, etc. I'm sure it's just the strain of all the extra weight, my dr. said it's nothing to worry about.
