Sudden Increase In Fetal Movement At 37 Weeks

Hey gals, so I was wondering. Last night I had a lot of pelvic pressure and fetal activity. Tons of weird feelings in the nether regions and I had sharp shooting pains in my abdomen then by by butt area when I laid on my back! The baby was moving around a lot and then he started kicking and punching tons, then he slowed down. I've read all those horror stories about sudden fetal movement and it being because the baby was being strangled by its cord...but I still felt movement after and I felt it this morning too. Do you think its because the baby was engaging last night? I have no clue...I'd be paranoid if I hadn't felt any movement since that sudden "freakout" last night, but I also have an appt at 10:30 this morning, so I can brign it up.

Im sure its nothing to worry about hon. sometimes they just like ti wiggle lol. I totally understand getting worried about movement though, my little girl likes to NOT move for extended periods of time, scares the heck out of me! but , she always ends up wiggling around like a mad woman eventually hehe. cant wait to hear about your appointment!! you are getting so close! 10 more days till the 20th! isnt that when your parents are coming??? how exciting!

Let me know what your doctor says please! My little one does the same thing. Lots of acitivity and then hardly any for a couple hours or more. I mentioned it to mine and she didn't seem concerned at all.

Stef.. from what I understand its pretty normal. Im sure your doc explained how to do kick counts... those saved me from going to the er all the time LOL. Im such a worry wart. I actually did go to the hospital once because I didnt feel baby move for like two hours, they checked her out and she was perfectly fine just being lazy. then there are times when it feels like she is putting on a circus act or something in there.. flying around all over the place lol.
