What Is WRONG With Me

Ok, so I just need to know if what I am experiencing is normal or if I should be concerned... From 20 + weeks I THINK I have been having BH but I am not sure. To this day (and I am 34 weeks) I cannot tell if that is truly what I am experiencing. Anyway for the past two days I have had on again off again menstrual cramps. They aren't regular enough to time but they last anywhere from 10 seconds to a whole minute. In addition my belly from my br___t bone to my bellybutton has felt like it is on fire from the inside. Like really bad heartburn but all the friggin way around and it extends in my back. So if you can imagine this, I feel like I have a belt of fire around my upper and extreme lower belly that circles in both areas all the way around my back and connects in a vertical but radiating pain to basically my entire back (from between my shoulder blades to my tail bone and all around my ribs) It is also accompanied by nausea at times and other times not. Like I said I am only 34 weeks. Does this sound odd to you? Do you think its something I ate? Do you think its baby changing positions? Anybody have this experience before?

aww, you poor thing! Im not sure what your feeling but Im sure its normal.. maybe mention it at your next appointment. if it gets really unbearable call the doc right away though. I haven't experienced anything that intense but I have been kinda crampy... definitely been having some BH and minor heartburn but nothing to bad. I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks Heather . . . I hope its normal. I also hope it isn't labor. As ready as I think I am, I know I'm not. LOL... Thank you for your well wishes. I hope it either escalates into something soon, or starts to subside cuz this in limbo and suffering while it just drags on and on in its dullness is sooo not cool! Especially if I have to have it for another 6 weeks while LO decides when to make her entrance. LOL

I've been having that tight feeling too, krissy. It's like I almost can't tell if it's braxton hicks, or the baby or what. It must be pretty normal though if we're both having the same thing (I'm 36 weeks btw). I haven't had the belt of fire thing though, but I bet it's heartburn as I've heard it can get really bad in the late part of pregnancy. Hope you can get some relief from that soon!

I'm not sure if I felt the burning sensation, but I'm 32 weeks, and have had period like cramping in the past week, and then a month ago (it seems to happen right around the time that my period would've been). I keep feeling pressure on my cervix, so they did an ultrasound to check for length, and it's still long and closed. But I'm still nauseaus, I do get the heartburn, the other night I woke up because I threw up in my mouth. All that together made me feel like there is something terribly wrong, but the dr. doesn't seem concerned.

Hey Ladies not sure if this will help, but around that time 30 weeks+ i too felt a lot wierd sensations, menstrual like cramps, TONS of heartburn that felt really unnatural including the throwing up in my mouth at night, it was horrible. but now i'm in my 38th week and my body has been pretty silent from 36 weeks. i too thought oh my this might be it, but it's not. for some reason some of the other women are saying the same thing that they felt more symptoms of "labor" earlier and now the body is silent. totally sucks because when you're ready to go you want there to be a whole lot of things going on that indicate it might be soon. so not sure if that helps but i don't think it's labor, i at the time thought it was as well.....

If your upper belly gets hard as a rock then it's BH. I've had very painful BH since I was 30 weeks! And i'm sure that the nausea is due to the fact that the baby is pressing on your stomach and the heartburn too. Believe me I'm 39 weeks and It hast gone away because the baby is too big, I can barely eat and every time I lay down I get horrible heartburn! So prepare yourself because the discomfort is just starting!! Tums are going to be your best friend! Good luck!

thats sounds weird to me. Ive never had that burning feeling. Maybe it is just majorly bad heartburn? did you take tums when it happened? maybe if you did that it would feel better. At your next appt I would say something to the doc about it. To me that doesnt sound like braxton hicks but everyone is different so maybe? Sorry im not much help! as far as the cramping that is pretty much normal right now.
