K2 - Wow, it sounds like your lo could be on the way! I can't wait to hear back from you! Erica - congrats on the 3cm. 'Sounds like you could be not far off, either. I hear ya on the March thing. For some reason having nothing to do with logic, I'm sort of attached to the idea of Jack being born in March, not Feb. Sarah - You made me laugh about your excitement in finding your roller pole. I've used them, though, and they are nice! Mahagen - I'm right there with you on the crying. I only thought I was moody a couple of months ago. Now, I can't seem to concentrate on anything that doesn't have to do with the baby, the slightest thing makes me teary-eyed and I'm absurdly grumpy about things like traffic. I guess it's natural to be a little distracted when you might be a mommy next week! - April

Good morning. I'm home today instead of being at school. I went to bed last night at 9:30 with another one of those hideous intestinal atttacks. Ga__sy feeling cramps that cause me to not be able to stand upright completely they are so f'ing painful. By 11:30pm I still wasn't feeling any better so I took some milk of magnesia to hopefully cause a bowel movement (I am having one hell of a time with this constipation stuff). I was then up ALL night. Between being in pain and sprinting to the b'room with diahrea, I was miserable. When mrning came I decided there was no way I could deal with these circ_mstances while attempting to teach. Thank God my "on call" sub who'll be taking over my cla__ses when I actually go on maternity leave took my cla__ses today. I have an OB appt this afternoon so we'll see what's going on. I just wonder if this is labor related, if I've contracted some sort of intestinal virus, or if it's just plain ole' pregnancy constipation. Enough about my misery... Sounds like we have a couple of girls who are VERY close. That is so exciting. Hope to hear from ROBYN soon. She should be coming home some time today right?

Hi Ladies, Sounds like some of us have appointments we get to hear about later and some of us might be going to the hospital to have babies. How exciting! I have an appointment tomorrow so I am so excited to go and do the normal and possibly get and idea of when they want me to have the baby if he doesn't come on his own. My hip pain went away so I am feeling so much better today and like a normal person, not old and hunched over like I was yesterday trying to avoid the hip pain, ugh. Well hope everyone is feeling ok and GL at appointment/hospital visits.

MAHAGEN- How long have yo been having the hip pain? With my 1st pg I had bad sciatic from week 24-30. When she turned south it eased up and then was completely gone about a week later. With this pg, I started with the sciaitic pain again around 28 weeks and was getting VERY uncomfortable being on feet (which is necessary being a teacher). I had aprenatal ma__sage at about week 33, and I swear it was gone the next day and hasn't been back since. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Hello ladies! I am back from my appointment! Not going into labor yet! I'm only 1cm dilated and 50% effaced... so still got some time i think but she said the baby is about 5.5-6lbs right now and she forsees her being 6.5 - 7.3lbs when she is born... but that she is healthy!!! Which is always great to hear. I also had my GBS test done today so hopefully that will come back fine but if not i do not think i am too worried about it... considering they know what they are doing... Also she said she could feel baby's head through my cervix... And how they would not stop me from going into labor now!! which was exciting to hear!!! So i am hoping to make it to atleast the first week in march... i want a march baby.. although my own birthday is this month! LOL

I am so glad I'm not the only one who is losing it in traffic. Bad drivers are driving me INSANE. I can't stand them. I have started yelling and going crazy in the car, lol. My husband just kind of looks at me. I get so tired of people pulling out in front of me and cutting me off and then they get to the stoplight at the same time I do. It does them a whole lot of good and they risk accidents and injuries. ARGH! Whew deep breaths, Sarah. I swear my car came equipped with invisibility beams so people just must not see me coming. If only I could find the off switch for them!

sarah21 - February 21

Ohmygosh Claire has the worst case of hiccups ever! It is driving me absolutely insane. She has never had them like this. I think it's irritating her, too, because she keeps moving around like she's trying to get comfy. Poor baby girl!

cayingo - February 21

Yea, SARAH, but you live in Austin. The traffic there is beyond insane. We lived in Austin for a few years. We lived south and DH worked up on FAr West, only about 13 miles form our house. It took him up to an HOUR to get to work on Mopac some days if he left at the wrong time. Crazy crazy traaffic in Austin.

cayingo - February 21

Reece just finished his 2nd round of hiccups a few minuts ago. He gets them daily but they aren't as fast as they had been. IN the past they were like hummingbird hiccups; sooo fast one after another.

I have a question for y'all who are having boys. What are your htoughts and understand of circ_msicion? Last night a friend told there are 3 different ways to do them, and we choose whcih we want. I just a__sumed the pediatriician did what he did. ANyone have any info on this? I'm going to spend some time online researching this since I'm captive in my home today.

sarah21 - February 21

I was relieved I didn't have a boy in there just because I didn't want to go through the whole circ_mcision thing. I don't have the heart to get it done but DH wanted it to be done so that woulda been a battle! Good luck on your research. I live a little ways north of Austin, actually, and the traffic is worse. In Austin they're crazy but here at Fort Hood there are a bunch of young soldiers and they're just plain stupid. I do go to Austin a lot for the shopping though. Need to make a trip there to Babies R Us soon, yay!

Had my 36 week visit today--all is A OK!!! Baby's head is very low and he's making his way south. I can really tell he's dropping b/c the heartburn has eased up and I can take a deep berath now. She's guessing him at about 6 lb right now, but I have an u/s next week so I guess we'll see!! She said pregnancy is agreeing with me---I don't want to hear that!!! I want her to say "I think he should come a little early"!!!!! Oh well, I guess I'll make it. My due date is 30 days from today-woah!!! I know what you guys mean by hoping for a March baby...wonder if anyone will have the leap year baby in our group??? So, another good appt. Next week, I have an u/s to check on his weight, the GBS test, and my first internal to see what's going on down there. Glad to hear you all are doing so well...I can't believe we are here already!!!

Cayingo, I have been getting that pain in my hip on and off for about 2 months but yesterday and all through the night was just horrible. It hurt so bad to just move it. I thought it might be dislocated but when I woke this morning it was pretty much gone. I think the baby might have been sitting on a nerve or it was just pregnancy taking it course, lol. Circ_mcisions: I have 2 older boys and they had their circ_mcision the day after they were born in the hospital. I didn't have any complication with it or anything and the doctor does it in a special room away from other babies so the cry doesn't disturb the other infants. It sounds very painful which I am sure it is but they give the little guys a local to numb the area and then they do it. Some babies sleep through it which I think one of mine did. I have never heard of there being different ways to do the circ_mcision other than the parents deciding to wait, not to do it or the procedure is done as soon as the doctor is available which is usually 24 hours after the little man comes into the world. I hope that answered your question. I am having a boy with this pregnancy and I am not nervous at all about the circ_mcision. It's easy to take care of and it doesn't bother the baby. It might hurt you more looking at it than anything lol. It looks red and sore but its fine.

corbin289 - February 21

Cayingo, there are three different ways to do a circ. With my son they did the plastic ring which I will not have done this time. It is supposed to fall off in a few days which didnt happen and then he had to have it cut off. It was terrible!! In NH they do it the day before or the day you do home and each doctor does one of the methods and if you dont like the one the on call doctor does you can wait a few days and go into the office to have it done. I was an LNA and watched many be done. Its worth researching the three and also make sure the doctor that does it uses some sort of pain meds for him because some dont.

sarah21 - February 21

My brother didn't get pain meds and my mom was a nurse too and she watched it and hated it. She said my brother turned blue and didn't quit screaming for hours. My poor nephew got his done and his skin kept trying to reattach to the head of his p___s and my sister in law had to keep peeling the skin back and it was all bloody and crust for over a month. It broke my heart! But not everybody has issues with it. Sadie is right though-- definitely check with the Dr.

ACG - February 21

K2 - remind me, exactly how many weeks are you? I ask b/c you said the baby's 5.5-6 lbs. Jack's 5lbs, 10oz and my doctor says he's on the small end of the scale for 38 wks, so I'm kinda double checking him (the dr.) Sarah & Melissa - oh my god, Austin traffic is bad. My dh commutes from way south (Davis and Mopac) to north 183, and it's a nightmare for him. My beef is with people at 4-way stops who don't know how to take turns and seem they'd be perfectly happy to sit there at the intersection all day. As for circ_mcision, we've decided not to do it. I was uncomfortable with the idea b/c of the pain and possible (though minor and unlikely) complications, but I left the ultimate decision up to dh, since I figure he can relate more. He did a lot of research and decided that he wasn't strongly compelled by any of the reasons to do it. As for the 3 different ways, I don't know anything about that, so I'm babbling and probably not much help - lol. - April
