yay patti, glad you loved your stuff! was anything pink or girlie? my best friends mom knitted me a pink baby blanket and that was like my favorite gift of all, it was so thoughtful. yeah for ultrasounds, I have no idea when I'm getting another, I had a ton in the beg and seriously don't think I've had another since like 22 weeks when they had to do the additional 2nd tri to look at her heart more. I'm pretty sure I'm getting another at the end to measure her size, but I don't know! I may have to wait until she gets here and see the real thing!! that's so great that wyatt finally gets to see his little girl on screen!! maybe he'll cave and decide he wants to know the s_x. then you can take your girlie stuff out of hiding! do you really thing she's sideways? I doubt it, I think she's too long to fit that way. she's probably just flipping around a lot and she can't decide which side to keep her leg/arms on! I guess we'll see :)

it's almost lunch - I'm going to get a california roll I think :) I'm gonna go to baby gap too, MIL's friend gave us a $200 gift card there to spend on baby casey for my shower. I was going to wait to get some older stuff b/c I know she's going to grow out of infant clothes so quickly, but the gift card is burning a whole in my wallet and I can't help myself!!!

lol! I would do the same!! Wow 200 bucks for Casey!! Way to go! There is shopping money!! I got a few gift cards as well last night and already want to go and buy stuff, but I too think I will try and wait and buy her some older stuff. I have sooo much infant stuff for her already, I better hold off. I think I may use some of it to buy on of those Bumbo chairs for her. Apparently they are all the rage! You know funny thing, I did get a lot of stuff that leans toward girls!! The recieving blankets are all pinks and yellows with Big gerbera daiseys st_tched onto them, and some of the sleepers are kinda girlie!! Everyone thinks it is a girl too, sooooo!! I can't see him caving at the u/s! He has hung out this long, and I think he is really liking not knowing! Isn't it nice to get something like a hand made baby blanket??? Gifts like that just mean so much when you know someone took the time to actually make it with you and your baby in mind. I love stuff like that! I have a little balanket that I was given when I was born by my grandma that she made and I hauled that thing all over God's green earth and back! There is really nto much left to it now, but it is still my favorite thing I have!!

Hi ladies! I don't know what the hell is going on with the Work Gods but they are being very cruel. I have no desire, motivation or energy to do any work and all of a sudden all these rush appraisals come in. But I can't very well turn down money, so that sucks. I have been getting these horrendous, almost debilitating headaches, but only in the afternoon. Has this happened to anyone? My husband is pretty much forcing me to call the doctor, but I don't see any point. They're just gonna tell me to take Tylenol. Patti, that is rad about your shower and you're goodies. I had a baby blanket that was given to me when I was born that my mother tried repeatedly to take away when I started to get older. Well, I was still sleeping with it when I had my son and when I used to b___stfeed him, he would hang on to my shirt. My mom had this grand idea that I should let him hold on to the blankie. Well, that's how she finally got it away from me! It became his blanket and all that's left of it is a 2 inch by about 10 inch piece that he keeps curled around his hand when he sleeps at night. Damn thing was transparent by the end of it all! Anyways, I don't know what I was thinking, but I introduced "blankies" to my girls and now they have to sleep with them everynight. It was so awesome-last night my mom made dinner for everybody, took my kids in the pool so I could chill (for all of about 5 minutes before I hopped up and started cleaning) AND she gave my girls a bath. It was great! And d__n Discovery Health for airing these interesting shows at 10:00 at night and making me stay up too late.

oh sweetie, that b__ws...but if you're doctor isn't too worried then try not to be. everything will be fine, it just sucks b/c you can't pig out like the rest of us :(

Well, Alicia, this must be bittersweet for you, love. I am very very glad we have finally pin pointed the issue. What a relief! I don't know much about gestational diabetes except for what we know, big babies and higher fluid. Please fill me in on more information about it, the more you get it. Don't be down sweetie, we can get through it!!

good point erin, at least you know the culprit to the issues you were having now.

hieee erin, glad you're home from work. and glad you had a good night!!!! patti, I just found you on facebook and friend requested you. anyway, so I went to talk to HR about my maternity leave. it's terrible, NY disability only pays a max of $170 weekly for 8 weeks. my work gives me 2 weeks of full pay (1 week for every full year you've worked) and I can use all my sick/personal/vaca which should be about 3 weeks at full pay. but that $170 from NY disability is a big bummer. that's a huge paycut for me!!

no erin, I get headaches but they're not all of a sudden and they're not debilitating. but I think you should call doc too, especially if they just came on suddenly. I've always gotten headaches so it's the norm for me. they may give you something stronger than tylenol to take when you get one. my doc prescribed me fiorcet for my bad bad headaches while I'm pregnant. anyway, I still have my baby blanket too, it's in our bedroom, I don't use it regularly but I know it's there if I need it. It's a huge silk, (used to be) white blanket and it's so silkie still. I called it (and still call it) my nauny blanket. casey is NOT gettting her hands on it, it's all MINE!! :)

Well, that's interesting Gabbi! I don't have a facebook account (that I know of!) At least you get SOMETHING when you go on maternity leave. I get NOTHING! So you get 5 weeks full pay PLUS the $170 a week for 8 weeks? I would be happy with $50 a week...

Yeah girls atleast now we may know and get ahandle on what is going on here. But on a bright side I ahve lost 1 lb since last week and now that i will have a diet I hopefully *keeping fingers crossed* won't gain too much more. Which would be awesome... But after I met with the diet doc I will fill you guys in. I have another u/s next thrusday morning too to chekc my fluid. I am still measuring big 35 and a half. But she said with the fluid it will do that. And I still sleep with a blankie. When i was born my gmom made me my abc blanket and I took it everywhere....lol. then when i got older my mom bought me one of those super soft blankets. I am now on blanket #2 of those but I have had it about 12-15 yrs. I sleep with it every night. If i fully covered or it is just draped across me in the summer. I can still go places and sleep with out it but I go to sleep much faster and sleep easier with it... and Im 23...lol. So erin u and jeremy big day tomorrow... Any plans?

Yeah, Alicia, my big plans are to wake up at 5:50am (like I do everyday), get everyone ready to go to the babysitters (like I do everyday), come and take care of my mounds of appraisal files (like I do almost everyday), maybe eat some Chinese food from my favorite Chinese food restaurant at lunch(now that's not something I do everyday), go home and fix everyone dinner (like I do everyday).......are you starting to get the point!!! Birthdays when you have a plethera of children are just another day, except for the Chinese food lunch. Sorry all that sounded bitter above. Hopefully Carl will at least come home tomorrow, that'd be cool. Oooohhh, but I do get a cookie cake from my boss and these leeches at my office better not eat too much!!! (even though a week ago for someone else's birthday I ate MORE than my share-but I'm pregnant and who's gonna say something to a pregnant woman?) What are ya'll gonna do?

Well if I was you I would hide the cake in my office...lol. Nothing too great. Although I'm sure Jeremy would wish it was. Tomorrow we are going to dinner at Steam Boat Bills a... you guessed it, seafood resturant. And probably rent a movie. Then saturday everyone is coming over to go swimming. So we will likely cook out. Nothing cool or exciting.

Boy you guys always chat while I am at lunch. I think I am about 2 hours at least behind most of you! Alicia - that is truly a bummer about the GD. But like the gals have said, at leats we know know what is causing your troubles and can keep it under control from this point on. And as Gabbi said, if your dr isn't too concerned with the levels, then try and not stress too much about it. We only have a short time left to go as well, so that may help too. On a plus side you will get to peek at Mason more often with the extra u/s's!! :) Erin, What int he world is a cookie-cake?? Like a giant cookie? Or is it actually a cake?? Either way, it sounds delicious!! I am stillt yring to get them to do even a DQ run at my work, but with not a whole lot of luck! I will check and accept you tonight on Facebook! I am so much more efficient on there than on Myspace! loL!! So glad to hear that I am not the only one that still has their Blankey!! Wyatt doesn't have one and tends to bug me about it. I also have a pink elephant that winds up and plays rockabye baby that I was given by the doctor that delivered me, since I was placed for adoption and was placed in a temp fostercare with one of the nurses from the hospital until my parents were notified that I had arrived and came to get me. Times sure have changed hey! I don't imagine that many dr's give out stuffy's to babies much anymore. lol! But I still love it, all tattered and torn and worn out! Alicia - now you have me craving lobster!! Lately I have been wanting it like crazy!! Not sure what the deal is with that! :)

hi ladies. well today has been no better for me. now i have been wondering what he was thinking when he got thrown from the truck and if he was in pain. ugh. but i did find out today that i get my last u/s in 2 wks adn my baby is measuring 32 1/2 wks! very small for me! my other 2 babies always measured 1-2 wks bigger than they were. i will be 33 wks tomorrow. oh well, maybe i will have a small baby. i just don't understand why my other two were so big. i hope nothing is wrong.

Hey patti, i think the cake erin is taking about is a big cookie in the shape of a round cake and then they used frosting to write happy bday etc on it. Its pretty darn good...lol. So the diet doc called and I go tomorrow for 2.5 hrs for my cla__s. She also said to check with my ins to make sure they covered it. if not the cla__s is $1275!!!! I was like omg. So i am waiting to hear if they ocver it. If not I will not be going to the cla__s. there is no way i can afford it. I will just do reaserach or try and talk to someone else.
