Gabbi - I totally hear ya on the shoes thing! I have only one pair of flip flops that I have been able to wear for months now, and when we were in NY I bought a couple pairs of Reef flipflops there, but couldn't even try them on, my feet were so grotestque! I stillcan't get them on, so they may be next years!! Isn't it funny how you can press on your feet or legs and it stays indented for a while!! I took pics of my stumps to show her one day when she is older what happened when I was preggers with her!

Hi August Mums! Hope you are all good - I can never keep up with this thread - I always seem to come on when no one else is on and then miss all the action haha. Ok sooo hubby and I decided finally on a name if our bub is a boy - Mitchell Callum - however we are having problems on the girls name - we both love Kira - so what does everyone one think of Kira Mikinley (this is my fave however hubby not so sure?) I quite like Mikinley as a first name too? Ahhh the saga continues. Really just after any suggestions? I also like Ella as a first name but does Mikinley go with this? Last name Erb. :) Can you believe how close we are getting!! Its exciting but scary at the same time! Oh I went and did a tour of my hospitals birth and maternity ward - now THAT makes it all very real haha. x

Quiet on here today.......... :)

morning! patti, reef flip flops are THE BEST! that's all I've been wearing. but your feet must be real bad if you can't even get those on! geez! I mean, I have the strap indentation on my feet by the end of the day b/c my feet swelled while wearing them, but they still feel fine! anyway, bellybubble, I like Kira, and the middle name sounds good too. however, I have to admit that I'm not a fan of Ella with your last name. they're both short names beginning with an E and I'm just not a fan of how that sounds - you have to remember that people arn't going to use her middle name to break it up -just my opinion!! sorry you were solo on here yesterday afternoon patti. we had a little mental health emergency with a patient and I got caught up in work and never came back on the comp. hope you made it through your day!! katie, I have pain in my fingers too. when I clench my fists I feel pain in the joints, I've read that's ok though, not big deal. just another annoyance to deal with while pregnant. where's erin?? maybe she's recovering from her blissful weekend with hubby!

gabbysally - June 17

oh and bellybubble, we went for a tour of our hospital maternity wing last week too! It totally made it more real to see where all the action was going to happen. it kinda scared me!

Hi girls! Yea where is erin? I too have pain in my wrist. Mine is more like I pulled it or something. It hurts when I pick up my purse and put it on my sholder or if I bend it wierd. It has hurt ever since I came home from the hospital so 2 maybe 3 weeks now. So this weekend we are going to try and see what kind of truck to get for Jeremy. Not really looking forward to this since we have doc bills etc too. But his a/c is out and its just not worth it to fix it. I dread this so much. I wish I could hit the lotto... And I would def send everyone one of you money and set up college savings for your little ones. It would be amazing to win the 360 mill.... Oh if only....lol

Morning ladies!! Gabbi - no worries about yesterday - I did eventually get my act in gear and get soem work done!! :) Hope all was ok with your patient. I love reef flip flops and I try every day to get these new ones on, but I think they will be post baby ones!! They are the best flip flops out there!! :) Belly I like Kira, but I agree with Gabbi on Ella. We always worry so much about what the middle name is going to be and how it sounds, but she is so right, in fact people will hardley ever use the middle name so it sithe first and last that need to sound good together. Mackinley Erb sounds nice too. :) Kitkat - great to hear from you!! Glad to hear all is going well and work is going alright! I haven't had any troubles with pain in my wrists or hands yet to speak of. That sounds very uncomfortable. Alicia - ahh the lotto - wouldn't that be nice!! Then we would have to have a huge August mommies get together somewhere so all our little ones could meet too!! Would be a blast!! I hoep all is ok with Erin and family. We are missing her on here. Maybe your right Gabbi and she is recovering from her weekend!! ;)

Hello peaches! I missed you guys yesterday-but here goes why I was gone......On Saturday I looked at my 2 year old and just briefly thought "Hmm, her face looks kinda round." Then on Sunday, she moved at such an angle that I realized why her face looked so round- all of the lymphnodes on the left side of her face were huge. It looked like someone had punched her in the jaw. But she was acting fine, running no fever, no red stripes coming from the site, etc. And my sister is a nurse and said it could wait till the next day to see the doc, which was Monday. Well, I had an OB appt, so my mom took JoJo to the pedi. They were basically like, we have no idea what this is, she needs a cat scan. The doc said she could get us in that afternoon for a cat scan, but if Jo had to be sedated, then they couldn't get her in until Thursday. I was 99% certain Jo wouldn't sit still enough, but I didn't want to wait til Thursday to find out why my 2 year olds face was swelling. Since she hadn't eaten since 7:30 that am, and it was 11:30 at that point, the doc set us up for a cat scan at the er, in case she had to be sedated. We waited until like 2:00 for the scan and Jo is usually a holy terror, but she was so good considering she hadn't eaten or drank anything in forever. I on the other hand was about to pa__s out. They had to put an IV in her hand, just in case, which was awful. Both me and my mom were bawling because she was crying so hard. But lo and behold, they didn't even have to sedate her. I couldn't go into the scan room for the obvious reason, so thank goodness my mom was there. But we finally left at like 5:00 in the afternoon ( I hadn't eaten since 11:00, which was just an apple, so imagine how I was feeling). But her cat scan came back fine (except for the obvious, which is her lymphnodes are extremely inflammed) and her blood work came back fine. We are waiting for a few results still. But what is frustrating about the whole ordeal is that right before we are getting ready to leave, the nurse is like "I wanna take a little more blood for one more test (Jo had in a heplock, so they didn't have to keep sticking her)" Guess what the test is for- Cat Scratch Fever!! I'm like, I'm gonna be p__sed if you dumba__ses just charged me for a cat scan, x ray, extensive blood work and this turns out to be cat scratch fever, which is cured with antibiotics!! But the results for that take a few days anyhow, so better safe than sorry.

Anywho, so back to ya'lls going ons! Alicia, I am over the moon you can breath and your numbers are improving. Maybe your baby will slow his growth so he won't be a goliath! However, Patti, dear, it sounds like you have an extrememly large precious cargo that you are carrying as well! I can't believe she weighs that much. I love big babies, and have never had anything under 8 lbs, but since I am going sans-epidural again, I would be quite content with the typical 7.5-8 lb baby! I'll leave the big-uns to you guys! Everything went well at the doc yesterday. I am measuring 33.5 cm and I was 32 weeks, so she seems to be geting closer to being on track. Last time it was 32 cm at 30 weeks. Blood pressure was a little high for me at 138/78. I am normally 120/60. But he wasn't worried, nor was I. I just have to keep an eye on it till next appt. I have the strep test next appt., so some time between now and then I have to do some grooming. Hubby's visit went well. His teeth are hurting him, so he was a little cranky. But then again, so was I , so we were a lovely pair! I made the most delicious cheesecake on Father's Day. I wish I could send some ya'lls way. Gabbi and Patti, I am so sorry ya'll are having such a horrible time with swelling. That is something I haven't had to deal with, but it's cool you get to take off work early for it Patti. The only pain I have with this one is sciatic and back pain. It is agony to turn over in bed because of my sciatic. I can actually hear myself cry out in my sleep cause it hurts so bad. This pregnancy has actually been a lot better than the last one, I have to admit. Anyways, the new Coldplay CD comes out today. I can't wait to get it-yay!

softbreeze200 - June 17

Wow Erin what a day you guys had!! I hope Jo is feeling better today. What is Cat scratch fever?? I am a__suming it is a fever caused by a scratch, but ..... ? Good to hear that they have ruled out anything major though with those tests and scans. Scary stuff for a two year old and for you! Make sure to let us knwo when you hear something back fro her tests. We missed you though. How was weekend with hubby?? You guys do anything for your b-day on friday??

softbreeze200 - June 17

Erin - what measurments are the 33.5?? Your belly?? My doc has never told me those measurments. Is that fundal height?? What exactly is the strep test??What do they do??

mommaminchey - June 17

Erin so glad your back... And ty for worrying about my #'s and such. I feel better on this diet too. I hate that they made Jo go through all that... Tuff cookie.... I hated having the cat scan when I went a few weeks ago but they had to check for blood cloths.... And yes Patti I would fly everyone in so we could all hang and meet and let the children meet. That would be awesome... But on can only wish.

ekay03 - June 17

Thanks girls-I will def keep you posted. Yes, Patti, 33.5 cm is my fundal height. I ask everything, they don't always tell me the numbers automatically. :-) Oh and the strep test is a bowl full of cherries. It's like a papsmear, but both ends, if you know what I mean. It's quick and painless, just a bit akward, at least for me. I gained 4 lbs in the past 2 weeks, forgot to add that. I am up 35 lbs total-what a heffer.
