hey patti!! I'm glad to hear jess is getting better - what exactly is thrush anyway?? I can't wait to see more pics of her! and congrats katie, you had a big booger too. I can't wait to see if I beat you all, I think I may if she keeps being a knucklehead and not coming out! we go to the MD tomm morning so we'll see what they say, last I heard I was being induced on thursday if I don't go into labor. I'm still not totally frustrated with being pregnant. I've had a bunch of contractions today but they haven't been regular. they feel like sharp pains down low and tightening. they feel different from BH defanitely. ok, so I'll keep you all posted.

Hey ladies wanted to pop in for a quick update. I've been on leave for 3 weeks now, and my house felt like it was smothering me, so I went to my friends house that lives fairly close. I hadn't seen her and her babies since June, so I really wanted to spend time with them. We had a lot of fun, and her 6 month old gave me a taste of what it is going to be like. He's teething and it's making him spit up more, so I have sweet potatoes and carrots on my clothes, not to mention the milk smell. They are precious though. It actually calmed my nerves down a lot about being in charge of an infant. I am waiting for the sun to set, then I plan to walk for a while tonight. Brynley's definitely dropped, and I have been having BH most of the day today, so I will encourage her more. Everyone wish me happy labor thoughts!!!!! I'm getting anxious to meet her.

Hello ladies..I am new to this forum...I am actually due Sept. 2nd...but am thinking I will go earlier. I have two dd's, one was born at 41 wks and the second was at 38 wks. Dh and I are finally blessed with our first ds !! I went to the dr last friday and was told i am dialated at a full one almost 2 and 50% efaced. I am 36 wereks now...so was shocked I was so efaced. Anyways...I go back Wednesday am to check again. Hope you all dont minid me intruding here. Just thought it would be cool to talk to other almost delivering moms.

Hi Smmom2! It's nice to have someone to wait with! I'm due Aug. 17 but I have a feeling I'll be late, so I could end up delivering in late August or early September. I have a week and 5 days until my due date, but she hasn't dropped yet and I am not even having BH contractions. I was 1 cm and 50% at last weeks appt and have another one scheduled for tomorrow. Stick around with us August moms...or at least with me, cause I think the rest of the August moms will be done within the next few days and it will just be you and I! No one wants to wait with me and I understand but I don't want to wait by myself either!

congrats erin! now this is getting ridiculous. I was due august 1st before all you biatches and now FIVE of you have had babies and I haven't!!!!! creedence looks adorable and it sounds like it was an easy labor, I'm so happy for you!!!! hi smmom, it's kinda quiet here lately, you joined us while all the mommies are busy giving birth and leaving us in the dust. but hopefully once things settle down we can resume chatting!!! I had a NST test this morning and casey seemed pretty comfy in there. I was having contractions every 3-7 minutes according to the monitor, but I haven't progressed at all, I'm still 3 centimeters a week later. SO....we're either going in tomm night or thurs night to be induced, the hospital will be calling to let me know. so worst case scenario is little knucklehead will be here by friday, FINALLY! oh, and I lost 4 lbs since last week, that's CRAZY b/c I have been eating such garbage and so much of since I've been home waiting. but I'm not complaining :)

hiya mamas, well last night i had some wicked contractions, i thought YAY THIS IS IT but no.... they tapered off.... and im supposed to have a dr's appt today but i hadnt scheduled one because i thought there was no chance i would still have this baby in me.... so today i called the dr's office and my dr is all booked up until friday! i dont want to wait until then, i wanna go in NOW d__nit!! i am in a lot of pain, i think baby's as low as it can possibly be and it hurts....... i am super emo and not stoked that i havent had this baby yet... and the person that said have mercy on the people i come across was so totally right hahahahhah i have lost my politeness and i am p__sed and cranky LOL...... arrrrg!

oh ironmama, I feel your pain honey. I'm 5 days past due now! hospital just called and I'm being induced tomm night if she doesn't come on her own today or tomm. wish me luck!!

Wow....gabby...good luck tomarrow. I was a week over due with my first...so I feel your pain !!! IRONmama....I also know what you mean. I think being b___hy comes with the territory when you reach the end !! ANAMARIE>....I am waiting it out also, well I wil find out tomarrow if i am progressing. And keep in mind that sinc eyou are efacing and dialating, baby could drop at any time and things could happen for you. I will be hanging out here just waiting to have this little one !!!

Yayyy ERIN!! COngrats again honey!! Where do I get to see a pic of miss Cree?? Gabbi - so exciting about being induced tomarrow night!! I wish you all the best and don't worry it is not bad at all and once Casey is in your arms - everything else seems like nothing!! I am sorry I wasn't here to chat with you today, Jess had her first dr appt in the city, so we were gone most of the day! Welcome Smmon2 !! We love more AUgust mommies!! Ironmamma - I fully believe that once you pa__s 36 weeks pregnant, we are automatically given the free "I am a b___h" card to play whenever and however we want to play it!! So go nuts! lol!! I sure hope your little one decides to drop and get things going soon for ya!! Anna - you too honey!! Tomarrow is my due date and I can't believe that Jess will be two weeks already tomarrow!! Hopeful - I sure hope Brynley decides to come on out and meet her mommy and daddy soon !! Katie - hope you are doing well and can;t wait to hear all the details! Danielle and Alicia - hope you guys are doing good with Chloe and Mason and look forward to an update from you!!

Gabbi - Thrush is a yeast infection in the mouth of the baby. It is white spots that are on the roof and sides of the mouth and on the tongue. Looks like baby has a fuzzy white tongue. It can also come in the form of a diaper rash. I guess it is really common in babies liek Jessica that had such a bad problem with Mucus after she was born and is really quite common. Most docs treat it with a prescription medication, but we are using a herbal remedy called Gentian Violet. It was recomended by our health nurse and after researching it, it is proven to be more effective. Only drawback is it is a bright purple and stains everything it touches. Baby's mouth and lips are bright purple!! Look hilarious, not to mention my purple nipples!! :) But it is working like a charm to clear it up!! Wyatt is calling her the "purple nipple eater!" Otherwise her checkup was great! She is now 7lbs 4oz so she is gaining good. And the doc said she looks perfect! Like I needed her to tell me that!! hee hee :) I still can't put her down though!! She is starting to get a little bit of an att_tude now that I can see in her and pick up little things that help me understand her a bit better. Oh and if any of you are interested, I have been using the Dunstan Baby language DVD and it is amazing!! It teaches you how to distinguish the differences in your baby's cries and what they are trying to tell you and it works!! If you can get your hands on one, they are soo worth taking a watch. Anyway - better run, nap time for both of us!! Gabbi- best of luck tommarow if I don't get a chance to talk to you in the morning!! Make sure to send a text when she is safe in your arms. Hey August Mummies - well I am still with you all - waiting, waiting, waiting ha ha - due on the 9th but have had no indication this is going to happen! No dropping, no mucus plug, no BH, no nesting - NOTHING! I have a feeling this one is way to comfy in my belly to come on time!! :( Getting zero sleep now between just being uncomfortable and weeing haha so starting to get a bit cranky! Goodluck tomorrow Gabbi - u will have your bub in your arms soon! For the rest of us lets all help each other stay sane while we are waiting ok haha. :)

Hello ladies......Gabby tomarrow you will have your little baby and all will be over with. YEY ! Softbreeze....than ks for the welcome...I am actually due Sept 2nd..but one never knows when these babies come. My 2nd dd had thrush 2 times. It was aweful. Her doc never painted her mouth...but gave her an extremely strong antibiotic that can actually hurt their liver. Which I did not know until after it was given to her. ANyways...it is aweful when they get it..you have to sterilize everything they touch or it can come back. Thankfully your LO is a newborn...so they dont touch much ( like toys and bottles) BELLYBUBBLE...just remember that things can happen really fast. You can go from nothing...to needing to push in a couple of hours. Well..I am tired ladies and have a dr appt earlyin the am. Have a good evening.

Hey guys... Sorry I haven't been on much since Mason's birth. To be honest I am still trying to get this baby thing down...lol. And plus I have been so freakn sore from my c section that sometimes I feel like I can't move. I am just so sore and out of meds and tylenol just doesn't cut it... Gabbi I thought you would be the first to go now you are one of the last... I am so sorry. I know you can't wait... I don't have time to read all of the past post but I hope everyone is doing good and I am going to try and make an effort to get on atleast once a day... I miss you guys so much!!!! Hi everyone and welcome newcomers!!! Today is my official due date, but miss Brynley is making no effort to come join us. My appointment is tomorrow, and last week they said that we would talk about inducing if she doesn't come by then. The only definite from last week is that she dropped even lower. You can actually push on the top of my belly again without it being rock hard. Either way, just a few more days though......right?
