Can Stress Cause Decreased Movements

ok, I am 33 wks and 4 days, and on the 7th of this month, my little brother was in a car accident, and we lost him that night. I have been extremely stressed adn crying alot even tho the funeral is over i cry everyday. I noticed that my baby's not moving nearly as much as she used to. she was very active. now she just moves mainly after i eat. she used to move and get comfy whenever i would lay down and now she doesn't really even do that. I had a doc apt last thursday and she was fine. but can extreme stress make her quiet? maybe wear her out?? I know i shouldn't stress so much but he was only 23 and it just hurts really badly. i just hope the baby is ok.

maybe she has dropped? everytime i stand up i have to go to the bathroom now. but isn't it too early for her to drop, this is my 3rd baby. i just don't know....

oh Danielle honey. I am sure she is just fine in there. Maybe she knows how sad you are and is just trying to be good and not cause you any discomfort. As long as the dr said all is good, then try not to add to much more stress on yourself about it. If it continues to decrease, go back in and have them check her out to be sure. I knwo at my appt last week they told me that baby was really really low already, so maybe she has dropped and that is why you are not feeling as much. She is probably getting a little squished too. Hang in there girl.... (BIG HUGS)

thanks hon. it just worries me. i don't want to lose my baby too. i think she has dropped cuz i feel lots of pressure when i stand up in my lower tummy and i have to pee as soon as i stand up. i just thought it was awful early to be dropping. unless she is wanting out a bit early. which wouldn't hurt my feelings, just not for a few more weeks.

wow, Im so sorry for your loss. from what I have read stress doesn't actually effect the baby very much if at all. they say for the most part babies are blissfully unaware of your moods and stresses and such. Im sure your LO is fine.. my little girl slowed down a lot towards the end also, she moved most after I ate but other than that she didn't move to much. *hugs*
