Morning ladies...well the verdict is in and I am perplexed. This is my first child, so the diabetes thing is nothing that I was really aware of. I have a "mild case." They said that the test showed 204. I have been doing the blood sugar test 4 times a day and according to the numbers I am in the range I should be. Maybe it is a fluke. My doc will see me next Friday so hopefully she will enlighten me then. As far as eating habits, I have changed ever so slightly. I am ready for this little one to come....
As far as the big baby thing, I was told that as well. I wonder why that is these days? Too much junk in foods??

Hi ladies, mind if I sneak over here a couple days early? I will be
28 weeks on Tuesday. I am due December 16th, but also am a scheduled C-Section
so sometime the week before that. Colleen I just got the results back from my glucose
test and everything was good!! However they said I am a tiny bit anemic and said
I need to take an additional iron suppliment with my prenatal. I feel like a walking drug
store now. I had an ultrasound this morning and the sonographer said the baby was measuring 2lbs and
6oz so looks like I am going to have a big baby too. It doesn't surprise me my daughter was 7lbs 6 oz, but
she was 3 weeks early. My son was 8lbs 11oz and he was a week early. Probably will be another
8 pounder! ebaby, I found that boys names are harder to come up with than girls names. With my first we had
her name picked out shortly after we found that she was a girl and with this one we picked out a name very quickly after
we found out, but with my son we kept changing his till about a month before delivery!!! LOL Jess, don't feel bad about
how much you gain!! I probably have the top numbers in this thread. I have gained 28 pounds and am not quite 28 weeks!
I am doing a ton better than I did with both of my other kiddos. I also am vegetarian and eat very little on the
side of sweets so I am convinced it is just how my body works :) good excuse right! LOL I will lose it all after anyway so
I don't care as long as the baby is healthy and thriving! Allright ladies, I have a long week ahead of me I better hit the sack!

Jess, haha you kill me, I'm sure you are NOT just a "big fat-a__s" this is the only time we're allowed to be fat and it's acceptable. I guess as far as the spot on the baby's liver, they will just do that next scan at 36 weeks and that's it. They have no clue what it is and although not overly common, it's not an indicator for other problems. I'm just trying not to worry too much. Ebaby- I love Aiden! Boy names are so much harder than girls. Micsmms- I think I'll have to do the 3 hour test too. I did mine on Saturday and was on autopilot when I woke up and had a half of a cup of tea with honey before I realized I was not supposed to have anything. I guess I will find out on Friday when I go to the OB. I will fess-up on my stupidity and plead for another 1 hour test. I'm sure yours will come back ok since you didn't eat this time. Gina- maybe the tests are off? Is it a test strip that you do in the office or the blood test? I think big babies are due to all the c___p and hormones in our food now, the genetically engineered seeds, etc -don't get me started on that, it's very scary. Bryandi- glad your test went well! Maybe the iron pills will give you more energy, being anemic can make you really tired. What other pills do you have to take? Sounds like you have a real good diet, the lack of meat probably helped the anemia along. I'm sure after you have the baby it'll be fine, these little boogers take alot out of us. Well we had a real sad morning, dh and I had to put one of our dogs down :( he was sick and it was time for him, but still sad. Colleen

Blimes-Congrats on your little girl!!
Colleen- Im sorry to hear about your dog, I know you had to do it and it was for the best, but its still a hard thing to do...
I have been very depressed lately. I have some personal stuff going on and its making things very hard for me. I cried myself to sleep last night. Its not hormones, its definitely the situation I find myself in. Oh well, I am 29 1/2 weeks and all is well with the baby, thats good news.

Bilmes- congrats on yout little girl! Any names yet? jess- I'm so sorry to hear that your having problems. Are the problems something that will clear up soon or are they long term issues? I sure hope your dh is not giving you stress. The last thing we need during pregnancy is more to worry about. I am glad the baby os doing well, that is most important. How is everyone else doing? Colleen

Yes it is DH. I feel like Im going crazy, I dont know if this issue is real or something that's just in my head. Sigh....
Probably I just am really crazy and my DH is normal :o)
Im doing well physically. I took my glucose test on Monday. I didnt eat anything before hand. I hope I pa__s it, it would suck to sit there for a 3 hour test.

jess- I'm hoping you are just crazy or imagining the dh problem. I hope it all works out and is maybe leftover hormones? Have you tried confronting him? Now is not a good time to be feeling so badly and wondering things. My dh is on my nerves but just for minor things so I can't complain. Well, 29 weeks today and counting. Hope I get my c-section date on Friday when I go to the doctor, not much longer now girls! Colleen

Hey Girls, So excited to be over here. I am glad to see that everyone is doing well. I go back next week for my glucose test. I really hate going. They scheduled me for the evening so I don't have to fast, however I have to watch what I eat, sugar wise. I don't think there is a normal weight gain- I have gained 35 pounds and I am just a few days shy of 28 weeks. My doctor told me I was in the normal range. I only have gained weight in my belly and b___bs. My b___bs look like some kind of b___b movie- they got so big. I won't complain until they shrink down and look like c___p again. I am pretty impressed with their firmness and position right now. Haven't looked this good since I was 18!!!
Colleen, I am so sorry to here about your dog. Have the doctors said anymore about the spot on the baby - What it could be?? I am sure that is stressful for you. I am also sure everything will be fine or you would have had some other abnormal test. He will be wonderfully healthy.
I am starting to get tired again- I am back at work but feeling a little tired by 8 o'clock. Probably all of the fat I am carrying. (I'm used to weighing about 110, and I am pushing 150. I would love to keep it under that, but I eat so healthy and I can't seem to not gain 6 pounds or more in a month. ANyway, glad to talk to all of you. Glad to be over here - seems like yesterday I was counting down to get into the 2nd trimester.

Tara-Glad you are feeling well. I also cant believe how time is flying. I think I a day or 2 I will be 30 weeks. That means only 10 weeks left to go!! Hopefully only 38 if I have a scheduled c-section.
Lets all promise to post our birth stories after the babies are born. I love reading those!!

Tara- I don't know you could do a glucose test without fasting! I wish I was given the option. Maybe I will ask when I am told I failed. I go in tomorrow for my regular ob appt so I should find out then. Good luck at your test! I think I am also supposed to find out when they are scheduling my section. I want to go over my maternity leave here at work to see how long I get. It sounds like everyone is getting these really great b___bs, not me :( I got a tiny bit bigger at the beginning (I'm a pathetic A cup) I think I'm getting gyped. The only time they got real nice and big and firm was when I was b___stfeeding last time, but they went right back to practically non-existant when I stopped. About the spot on my lil guys liver, they really don't know what it is, they say it usually turns out to be nothing so I am clinging to that. Maybe just a glitch at the time they were developing?
I know what you mean about carrying the extra weight, it's exhausting! I was 120 before I got pg (usually am about 110-115) and yesterday I hit 140! My lovely dh caught a nice profile last night and said "Holy s***, you're ready to pop! Did ya swallow a basketball?" Nice guy, huh? Never was a sentamentalist.
Jess- I'm also banking on about 38 weeks with 9 to go, hope they don't burst my bubble. We will definately have to post our birth stories, I love reading them too! Colleen

Hey jess - I bet you are excited - I think 30 weeks, makes it feel like the home stretch. Colleen. I didn't fast when I did it 10 years ago, however they told me I didn't have to, but I should tell them what i eat, so I guess they consider that when looking at the numbers.
As far as b___bs, the worst of this is that they are usually c___ppier after the b___stfeeding is over. When I get changed, my husband just shakes his head and laughs cause they are huge. I am in an F bra right now. That is funny since I am a tiny person usually. I keep saying someday I will get a b___b job- not likely, i just like saying it. I really would much rather have a small chest, I don't need anything else to hurt my back!!!

Tara- OMG, an F?! I didn't know they went that big, I think I could fit my head into an F! I was just hoping for a modest B, oh well, good thing dh isn't a b___b man.
Jess- hope things are going ok with you.
I actually pa__sed my Glucose test (whew!) They also gave me a c-section date of 12/5. I was kinda hoping for the week prior, but what can you do. Doc said my weight is "fantastic" so I'm not gonna stress about it. Also BP is good and low this time. I think I was about 33 or 34 weeks when it shot up last time.
TGIF ladies, it's a rainy dreary day here on the east coast and the weekend looks pretty c___ppy too. I guess I will have to work on the baby's room this weekend. Does everyone already have theirs done? Colleen

Well I get to use DD's old nursery since she has moved into her big girl room. Im having another girl, so I get to keep everything the same. Its nice and easy! Colleen whats your new little boy's nursery going to look like?
I will find out about my glucose test when I go in for my next appt. on 9/30. I also have another ultrasound then, so that will be cool.
Tara- I hear you about the b___bs. I have always been well endowed, but right now Im probably a double D and they will get bigger after the baby is born. I feel like b___stfeeding last time did totally destroy them, they are definitely not as perky as they used to be. :o(
