DM~I hope that everything works out and you get some answers to your questions. Just make sure you take it easy! I hope all the rest of you are doing well also. I start today going for nonstress tests at the hospital. I have to go two times a week to monitor the baby's movement. Has anyone had this before? I don't know if it for the gestational diabetes or what, but I guess I will find out soon enough.

wow dmjdjw336, that is crazy! Make sure you take it easy so that baby can cook a little bit longer. If you can make it to 37 weeks then the baby shouldn't lack anything at all. My daughter was born at 37 weeks and was perfectly healthy. She had a bit of trouble with breathing because she was a c-section baby and so didn't have the trip down the birth ca___l to squeeze out all the excess fluids, but after a night in the NICU she was fine. The breathing thing is fairly common with C-Sections (at least that is what they told me when she was born) and didn't have anything to do with the early delivery. Gina, I have never had a non stress test, but a friend of mine had them. She had gestational diabetes, but she was also carrying twins so I am not sure which was the reason for the tests.

Hey ladies, just checking in! And... yes, where is Colleen? Dmjd- I hope your feeling better and the contractions have stopped. I wouldn't be too worried- lots of babies come early... just rest and drink plenty of water. Make napping your new obsession! I have - thankfully- had energy lately and have been jammin' on getting the house in order. I was hoping that would kick in bc the last few months, I've done as little as humanly possible- I had no motivation. The baby girl's room is almost finished being painted, just the base boards left! Carpets scheduled to be cleaned, and we need to order the crib and dresser/changer. It's a relief to see some things being crossed off the long "to do" list. Hope everyone is well!

Hi girls, I hope everyone is feeling well. I am pretty good, since I have a four day weekend. Every school is closed (public) in NJ this weekend every year!!!! I love November. I had a movement scare, wasn't feeling much, so I went two days ago and they checked lo heartbeat. HE sounds great. I can't wait to see him. It seems so far away. But I guess it's really not, I have 6.5 weeks. How much further for everyone. I hope you are doing well Colleen, we haven't heard from you since about two weeks ago... unlike you.. Just worried. I hope all is well. I have my shower next weekend, so I am getting really excited!!! I can't wait to see all of the stufF Have a great weekend!

It looks like my hospital experience is far from over. I was in the hospital again on Wed. for contractions that I did not know I was having and for a sever back pain all along my right side. I later found out that was due to the UTI that I had somehow gotten. They kept me over night and well into the afternoon. It was not a fun day. Earlier that morning, at around 2:30 I was experiencing the backache along my right side. I had no idea what was the cause and there was nothing that I could do for it. I had DJ rub my back but that did not work. He had me take a hot shower and that did not owrk either. I took some asprin for it but well I threw that back up. I was trying to sleep but which ever way I moved hurt my back. Around noon, DJ's mom Darlene had come to the apartment to help clean up and then take me to my doctors appointment. I told her what was going on and she even tried to rub it. Again, that did not work. So we called the doctor and was able to move my appointment up. While the doctor was examinning me, he was the one who found out that I was having contractions as well as the back pain. That was how I ended up in the ER again. After going through the same procedure, which was a pain, I found out that I had UTI and would not be going home as soon as I would have liked. If it was not for the throwing up, maybe I would not have been kept over night. But they had to monitor me all the same. It would seem that this baby is going to continue to give me problems until he is out of me, but who is to say that it will stop there. Again the doctors thought it too early for him to come so again they wanted to stop the contractions and get the UTI under control since they caught it early. I am now at DJ's gram's house and that is where I will be staying for I am not allowed to do anything but rest and take all sorts of pills. Hopefully this will be the last time in a while before I do have to go back to deliver him. I would hate to have to go again anytime soon. This is starting to get ridiuclous. So, now I know, no matter what I have to take the medicine even if I think I am starting to feel better. Another thing, I am constantly being watched so this does not happen again, which is why I am at Grams. Also, did I mention that I have only attended two birthing cla__ses out of the six I am to go to...maybe this has something to do with it...its just a theory. I hope you all are having a better week than I am.

jessb - November 7

dmjdjw-Im so sorry you are in so much pain. I know that really sucks to not know whats going on and to be in the hospital. I hope you feel better soon. How many weeks are you? I hope that babe stays in there until he is full term. Hopefully you will feel much better after you have recovered from everything then you get to just enjoy your beautiful baby!!!!

dmjdjw336 - November 9

jessb-Thank you. I am currently 34 weeks and 6 days. I am hoping to at least make it 8 more days. Thats what the doctors are hoping if he were to come early. I just hope that I do not go back again before he is due. I am doing ok now, its just he bed rest that I am not liking. I hope everyone else is doing ok and not having as many complications as I am. Good luck to you all.

ok, quick question. Are we supposed to have gifts for the host(s) of the baby shower? Just wondering... My sisters and niece in law threw the last one, and my BF's family is throwing the next... so there are multiple hostesses at each shower. Thanks!

TaraO - November 11

DMJ - I hope you make it your 8 days... We will keep you in our thoughts. I just want to make it till my scheduled leave 1 week prior to my due date.... I am starting to panic now, it's a lot to leave subst_tute plans for.. I'm a teacher... Jess. I don't think you need gifts for the hostess of your shower, we don't do that in our family or any of my friends.. Thank you cards are usually enough. My shower is coming up this next week, so I am getting really excited. I can't wait to get things together. This is all so exciting!!!! Anyway. I really am hoping to have company here, once everyone leaves for their c-sections. Please make sure to stop back on and share your stories. I hope that colleen is okay. and I want to thank all of you for keeping me sane, especially when I was at my crankiest!!! You guys understood!!! Have a great evening. Talk to you all soon!!!

Hey girls sorry I have not been on much. I am 33 weeks and I have been having a lot of hip pain and pelvic pressure with tons of bh contractions. My doc did an internal last week and said that my cervix feels a bit dialated but since this is my fifth that is expected he also said the baby is really really low and that is why I have the pain. It is worse some days where I can barely walk and then better on others. I have not had swelling yet and I have only gained 8 or 9 lbs this whole pregnancy. I cannot remember when my feet started to swell with my youngest because I thought I was going to breeze through without swelling and then my feet started so I don't know about this time. We have so much to do to get ready still and it seems since I am due on New Years Eve that the time is just flying. Well I better get some rest but I will try to check in more often. TTYL and I hope you ladies are all feeling and doing well.

jessb - November 14

dmj-How are you? I hope you are hanging in there. We are all getting lazy here at the end and not posting as much :o) I am huge and uncomfortable. Next frida (my c-section date) seems like forever away. Another whole week at work of hearing people say "you still havent had that baby, youre still here, when are you due, when are you going to have the baby?" I dont think I can take it. I hope everyone else is doing well. We are so close now!!!!

Gina75 - November 15

I think that we are getting lazy, or tying up loose ends or something. I know I fit into all of these. I hope that you are all doing well. I have one final ultrasound on the 24th and have been having the non stress tests twice a week. Grad school ends on Tuesday and my last day of work is the 25th (if I make it that long). I am also getting the "wow, you are huge!" Thanks I think :)

dmjdjw336 - November 15

jessb-I have been better. I went to the hospital again on Wed for the same thing and again the same thing happened. I am trying to hold out till Mon but it is starting to get harder and harder. They couldn't get rid of the contractions this time and they sent me home with them saying that I will feel them mostly this last month. Also if I go in again after 36 weeks then they will just let me go this time. At least I hope so because that was what they said. Other than that I am just bored and in pain and on bed rest again. I hope everyone is having a better time during their last month besides the BH. Some good news. DJ's family has been helping me out so much, what with the bed rest and getting thing for the baby. I was wondering how DJ and I would get some baby things like a crib, car seat, etc. Well it turns out that it is already taken care of . His family got it for us which came as a shock when I had heard. They are being so nice. This is our first baby and well we do not have the money for a nursery room let alone anything for the baby. I was so worried and well now it seems like things are starting to fall into place.

TaraO - November 17

Hi Girls, It's getting so close... I can tell since no one has really been on the computer... Anyway.. I hope everyone is doing well and feeling well. I was barfing last night... Heartburn. I had my baby shower yesterday which was pretty awesome. My mother threw it at a hall with about 65 of my friends and family.. It was pretty huge. I got everything from my registry. My living room is piled with stuff, I have no idea where to put it all. I hadn't bought anything as of yet, so I am really excited now. I am kind of crampy today. I think they are bh contractions, but I can't tell. I am just getting some tightening at the bottom of my belly... It kind of hurts. A lot of pressure too. I can't believe in less than 2 weeks December will be here. I am not due until the 21st, so I have ways to go. I sure hope everyone will keep us posted. It's funny we all talked all the time, and now everyone is ready to roll!!!! Time is flying.. HAVE A GREAT EVENING.

babemamma - November 17
